Yes, technically the engines already existed but weren't used before. We're turning them on to give options for the TSP Urbie IIC. I believe with its max engine and XL, it'll have about 17.5 tons of loadout space.

As welcome as it is to no longer have what feels like 90% of your total weight tied to an engine that doesn't actually give you anything equivalent to the TMM it should have, 5E 1B isn't exactly thrilling.

Especially since it's got no LAA, and competes with the Veagle at that weight range.

The TSP mechs are uniquely not made by the cauldron but by a committee of experienced comp players (but are quirked by the cauldron). There was a community wide event this year where one of the mechs (either a medium or heavy) would be voted in by community wide votes. The Battlemech Lanner won. I believe the designer's concept was a very mobile big gun medium mech at the top end of the weight range.

I'm cauldron. So yes, when the mech was designed, we realized that new engines had to be added. PGI discovered they were already in the game but not turned on so they're being turned on.

when I bought it on steam, open up the game, selected the Noble, and enter the Mech Lab, it doesn't have the IS AC-20

Do you have a screenshot you can share? The IS AC20 is locked in the RT.

So I don't know how TSPs work - is it a tiered package or a complete thing? If it's all 4 or nothing, okay, whatever I guess, but I mostly just want the Urbie.

Hah, might as well get the BANE-6 or something you ask me with the Urbie being pretty much a meme vehicle since it's a light moving as fast as an assault with a hitpoint count of a medium-heavy.

the Shadow Cat IIC looks awesome!! PGI should consider revisiting the Gauntlet and give it a little bit of that cosmetic surgery.

Alright. This seems like the common issue players who use "mods" will face whenever a new item is added to the game (in this case the special AC20 on the noble).

Remove whatever you have installed, and it should work.
Doubly important with the release of Noble.

And FYI, officially, mods other than sound mods are not allowed. Your own risk.
