Here's a trick - shoot the Railsharks. A lot, with many weapons. Quit being terrified of them - or worse, assuming that you already lost and then acting defeated the entire match, then being salty when you lose a game you gave up trying to win.

Come to T1 where people actually know how to aim.

Doesn't matter what tier you play in. Answer's still the same - direct violence at the enemy. People cowering in abject terror of Minor Armor Scuffs while the enemy sets up a push with impunity has caused more preventable defeats than any amount of railgun fire ever has or ever will. This idea people have that the 'Mech is just completely unbeatable and an oppressive blanket that farms every other player on the map by sheer virtue of just existing is ridiculous. It reminds me so much of the mass pants-soiling panic people had over the Piranha, and the same sense of "if this thing even just exists on the map I may as well AFK and make a sandwich."

If you do not aggress the enemy, you cannot win. If you allow the Railshark to snipe with impunity because you've decided it's an invincible demon monster that cannot possibly lose, you cannot defeat it. The best way to deal with an 'overpowered' sniping set-up is to hurl yourself at it with all the ferocity of a chihuahua on speed shown a picture of a Maine ****. the railgun can hit one target, once, every eight seconds. If you and even just one buddy bumrush the Railshark, it does not have the pressure to push you back. if you get your team to aggressively advance into the enemy? The Railshark is cooked.

Fight like you bloody mean it, and even if the Railshark is still winning more often than it should? it'll win a whole lot less, and even when you lose you'll know you made them pay in blood for every point of match score. If you spend the first eight minutes of the match hiding behind a rock, like everybody always does, the Railshark isn't why you lost that match.

Considering a fairly grindy two month event ended somewhat recently and nothing is currently active to replace it, I reckon people are just waiting for the next big excuse to log in. That said, I'd like to think that by the time we get another loot bag event, this thing will have already been taken down a few pegs. It's punching well above the usual 810m Gauss Pepsi damage brackets as far as I can tell.

You can definitely look at the numbers and see that every September suffers a player drop so this September isn't too shocking. If anything the August patch saw an abnormal jump in player count following it.

Yes I'm aware this is only steam, but I'd hazard a guess that steam and launcher probably follow the exact same trends.

Edit: Forgot about the Jarl's List which also gives us good insight into player counts per month.

I'd like to say it was different when I was a lad, but liars have always loved the internet.

It's toxic to use quant data to refute "i made it up i'm main character" energy.

Bf6 is also a drain on the t1 pop as many of the normal daily players and streamers are there not here. And its really just t1 that is suffering all the lower tiers are doing just fine even on very low pop late nite eastern us.

Soooo relaxing of the floodgates for t1 when? Not fully open mind just cracked apart enough so t1 don't wait 5~10 minutes for a 3 minute blowout. Posted Image
