Do steam purchases count for loyalty rewards?

If I buy a DLC on sale on Steam, is it automatically injected into my account, and will the purchase count toward the loyalty rewards? I normally buy straight from the website, but some of the steam sales are better.

Edit:
FYI, it did work, and showed up on the loyalty page after an hour or so. Make sure to crosscheck the prices on the website vs steam. Packs on steam are a much better sale.

they count towards loyalty

i've always bought packs via steam and they have always counted towards loyalty rewards

You need to activate the content on login. It then becomes permanently attached to that MWO account.

Should the Clan Galaxies pack be on sale? It's not on steam and newer things than it are on sale on steam ? Also, the Gauntlet pack, Noble and Sigma are on sale on steam and not the website. I would rather buy on the website then steam and give PGI more of a cut.
