Loot Bag Challenge Details

• Phase 1: 200 Loot bags - Earn 1 Loot bag for every 150 Match score accumulated
• Phase 2: 200 Loot bags - Earn 1 Loot bag for every 150 Damage accumulated

IMPORTANT Event Dates Details

• Phase 1 Starts on Oct 22nd at 00:00 UTC
• Phase 2 Starts on Nov 6th at 00:00 UTC
• All Phases End on Nov 30th at 00:00 UTC
• Deadline to open Loot bags - December 16th 00:00 UTC

Grand Prize and Pick-a-Prize Rewards

• Earn 50 Loot Bags and get 50 GSP

• Earn 100 Loot Bags and get 100 GSP

• Earn 200 Loot Bags and earn a PICK A PRIZE - Select Champions (+MechBay)

• Earn 300 Loot Bags and earn a PICK A PRIZE - Any Legend to Hero Mech (+MechBay) (Includes Legends that have been released for MC - These Versions do not include the Legend’s Battle Pass content)

Unlimited Bonus Redeems

• Purchase and Redeem a 200 GSP Bundle during the event and earn 25 Bonus Loot Bags

• 200 GSP Bundles can be purchased multiple times for multiple Bonus Redeems

• Gifting a 200 GSP Bundle to another player means they would receive the Bonus Redeems

Bonus Redeems

• Purchase the Icons Booster Pack to earn 50 bonus redeems

• Gifting any of the above packs to another player means they would receive the Bonus Redeems (must be redeemed since release or during the event to get the Bonus Redeems)

Just wonder, dear PGI...

Why always two phases? Merge them as most people not start phase1 'till phase2 starts.
Just a single phase took as long as the two phases would. Easier to everyone I guess...

By the way, I can tell you one reason why " search times have been trending upwards" .

It is because of that stupid two phase Summer Loot bags event. Since the damage that I might do now would not count towards the Phase 02 damage goal, it is pointless for me to keep playing. Essentially, my efforts would be wasted. The only logical course of action is to ignore MWO for the next three weeks and start playing again AFTER that useless Phase 02 begins. I guess I am not alone who understands this simple principle.

And do you know what really smart players do? They have been ignoring MWO right from the start for the entire July and the most of August, waiting for that useless Phase 02 to begin, so both their Match Score and damage really count.

This entire problem is really a problem of your own making.

PGI has refused to learn from its mistakes. They keep copying this obviously non-functional event type year after year, decade after decade.

That reward 'Mech is not a Legendary 'Mech. It is just an ordinary Hero 'Mech without that extra Legend content.
