Do You have recommendations on laser/ballistic/PPC DPS Hero, and Champion mechs? I don’t want to risk Gauss, since I don’t get the timings rights half the time.

Something that would at least give me kills, if I find myself against 3 enemies alone.
Can be sniper, or some close range combatant, Clan or IS.

If You think rockets are a way to go, give it honorable mention.

I would recommend either sovereign or timberwolf. Just rework the omnipods to your preference.
