I'm liking the module idea, and there's even room for it in extant canon--all those Targeting and Tracking and Communications systems in the TRO that make no difference to anything but are still mountable equipment. No doubt that a module sensor's not going to be nearly as powerful as a Beagle, but it'll do the same job.

Very interesting.

Also, great idea with the module system. I'm hoping that this allows us to customize the HUD and layout of screens in our cockpits as well!

The C3 Master/Slave system is still a viable module because of the way it works - any unit in the C3 group fires at a target using the range modifiers of the closest unit. This is very useful for Long Range Missile barrages. Tie it in with NARC or Artemis IV Fire Control Systems and you have a lethal combination.

This is pretty amazing, it will be what puts mechwarrior above and beyond the other versions.

I wonder what this entails:

"Units – Any non-BattleMech present on the battlefield."

Nice read! Hopefully MWO will really be released, and not canceled or something.

i really cant believe how this is coming along.. i thought this game was dead, and to my surprise its live and well and being done right... this game its gonna be a lot like the AOL solaris MPBT or the Sony online MPBT 3015 but omg this game seems to be all that above and beyond.. I guess my world is ending in 2012, bye job, bye girlfriend, bye life.

I'm very glad to see that other things like satellite uplinks will be inlcuded as well.

This is shaping up to be the most comprehensive Mechwarrior game ever. Every little detail from the table top seems to be transfering over quite nicely.

So I'm wondering whether it'd be feasable to have an entire Recon unit consisting of all light mechs with maybe 1 or 2 fast moving mediums rather than the usual mixed weight units. I also have a couple of questions. Will there be Clan and Inner Sphere Mechs? Will we have a choice of Clan/IS armour and internals to use?

As for the module system, it sounds good on paper so i guess the REAL test is when it goes live.

I fully agree with you Day but the only thing you need to keep in mind is to protect the mech which has the C3 Master on board :D

As with some of the old games: Can you power your mech down to avoid detection?

You have no idea how happy you guys just made me. ECM that screws with targeting and detection? Yes, Please. Real time Battlefield updates via sat links and UAVs? I'll take it! Simple module based Mech construction? I think I need to sit down.
