Question:

How are you going to handle Cicada? In the only Mechwarrior game that you could drive it, it's torso was fixed and couldn' turn. Is the same going to apply for MW:O?


Some of the mechs you released are openly propagating a version from 3050+, despite it being obviously out of question lore-wise. The prime example is the Cataphract-3D, which was introduced in 3051.And yet, it was present in the story and even makes sense gamewise, as we would only have two versions of Cataphract available otherwise.

With that said, what is your stance towards using variants that should stay only in blueprints for a little while?

Is Electrical tape better for fixing servers versus other types of tape (Duct, Scotch, Masking, etc...) ?? :D

I've noticed that a lot of whining has been going on about different things on the forums, how are you as the Dev's planning to handle this in terms of changing the game around when someone thinks something is 'OP' or what-not?

I'm afraid its going to turn into, every person who whines about something will get it their way.

1...While I like the maps we are getting to date, will we see more lively maps? From the vids of the maps that we have now, all of them are just abandoned worlds. Will we get maps that have vehicles moving around or scattered that our mech can step on or kick. Will we see civilians running in metropolis type maps? While beautiful the maps still feel like they are missing something.

2.. Also, while we see weather like rain in maps like Forest colony... will maps like this ALWAYS be raining or will there be randomness? if i play on that map one time and its raining, could it not be raining the next time?

Community Warfare is the number 1 feature in this game for me. I have read that it will not be implemented until after open beta. Will there be a Q & A or more access/input to/from the community before the system is implemented?

Will we see specialist ammo for LRM/SRM launchers? Like inferno, listen-kill, heat seeker, or dead-fire?

I have the same question as last time:

Will there be any controllers we *aren't* allowed to use?

Because of my braindamage I pretty much have to use a neuroheadset to be able to get on par with the ability of all the non-disabled players.

Sadly though, Evenbalance/PunkBuster and a bunch of other protections see the driver software for the headsets as some form of cheat or somesuch and bans for it.
I'm getting really tired of both being shat on because of my disability as well as being denied the chance to play many games on the same level as the other players.

is there enough technology in the game that if u stood still in the snow storm, your mech could be covered with snow?

Are clans going to be able to use their colors on the mechs or at least imprint their insignia on the chest?

Can you release the variants of the current beta mechs? a lot of us know this already but it is not yet public, of course.
Can you release the planned variants for the remaining announced mechs?

Same Question, I know I read that Piranha is working with many companies to ensure different controllers will be usuable in this game, but perhaps if there is a running list you could release a list of which ones you have tested/plan on being usable so far.

I'm personally looking at controllers to increase the realism and immersion so that I enjoy this game more and get into the feeling of being a pilot. So flight simulation controllers are what caught my eye. Only thing is.. Not sure which will work. There is a controller in the article below that sounds like it uses technology that may be banned due to it tracking your head movements and translating that to in game looking without using your hand controlled controller. Perhaps it's something similar to what Aileena was speaking of.

Pretty sure this has been answered. Might try a quick forum search. But I'm pretty sure the Devs already answered this along with if we'll be able to load our own skins and emblems/insignia's.

I have seen talk of MVP-minimum viable product. I have no interest in finding out what the time table is to achieve it, since any announced time table is cause for trouble even with minor setbacks. What I am interested in is a "syllabus" of benchmarks needed to achieve MVP status. As such, it would be a planned list of features. I'm very interested in seeing something like that.

Q: Will there be a friend system in MWO? Will it be possible to join a game with a friend/multiple friends on the same team?

Q: Will there be map/server selection or just random?

Q: Will the playercount per match be raised? to like 32-64p :). CE3 can deal with it and it would be epic!

Q: How will Endo-Steel work in the game? Do you have to spend a predefined amount to gain a weight-advantage? or will the weight advantage be decided of how much endo-steel you´re going to build in?

Q: How will Ferro-Fibrous Armor work in the game? damage reduction? weight advantage?

Question 1:

In Dev Blog 3 of Role Warfare the player is described as being able to choose to take contracts or enter quick matches. Please elaborate on the differences between the two choices.

Question 2:

What will happen to ammo partially used up after each match? For example say I'm in a Centurion with an AC10 that has 1 ton worth of AC10 ammo. If I only fire 6 rounds by the end of the round, will I still have the remaining 4 rounds when I return to mech lab?
