It shouldn't be this hard or time wasting to try and support a game buy purchasing it.

This may feel inconvenient but I would rather my card issuer was over cautious & refuse a payment than hundred's of quid suddenly disapear from my account.
World of Tanks use a similar system & have similar problems I work in retail & customers cards have been refused due to security checks if you have the funds it is easily worked out.

I tried a few days ago to get into the founders program. Found out my payment was blocked through playspan's security filters. I inquired as to why, but they would not go into specifics... which sucks.. But I've mailed them back and forth and finally asked to be connected with someone in a leadership role because their usual techs were sending me robotic replies, to which I asked, "Are you guys using a template to answer me?". The lead Customer Service representative has been more helpful but only in saying that if I am at a deployed location overseas, I need to provide a copy of my ID... to them.. I'm in a quandary because I'm not comfortable making a copy of my ID card and sending it to them, but I don't have any other choice.. If I gave my Debit card info to kin back in the states to do the transaction for me, then I could get blacklisted for attempting to use the same debit card in 2 different Geographic locations due to the different IP addresses used.
Also, playspan is back up for all you other people! But I need to resolve this issue with playspan's customer support.. lame. Some of the other Pilot's were right, the issue is NOT with MWO per say, it's with the payment method they offer..

It may take a while, if it went through the should be sending you a reply soon. Gratz friend. Be patient, and for the others, try to be a little more understanding. Some people come off as tards or a holes, but if you jump on their case quickly, you chance seeming like an inconsiderate person as well. Food for thought.

No confirmation for me yet (about 20 mins and counting). Its frustrating when we don't know if its failed or not.
