i spoke to my bank, bank says its fine.
Spoke to paypal they say speak to the seller to find out why they keep cancelling the transaction.

I emailed playspan and i get some bullshit scripted response to try again in 48 hours.

If 2 credit cards and a paypal account don't work, what flipping hope have i got in 48 hours.

thanks a lot ya ****** payment processor

It's amazing how aggressive people are when something doesn't work..
I would be sad, true, but aggressive...? Naah..

I hope my payment will go through, if not.. I'll wait until the game comes in open beta :D

It shouldn't be this hard or time wasting to try and support a game buy purchasing it.

I had no problem making a payment using Paypal! What usually happens is Credit Card companies look for irregular patterns so if you don't make a lot of internet payments then suddenly what to spent a couple of hundred £.$ or whatever it may or may not get flagged on their system, this can then lead to a refusal. It is up to the card holder to then query why the payment has been refused with the card issuer.
This may feel inconvenient but I would rather my card issuer was over cautious & refuse a payment than hundred's of quid suddenly disapear from my account.
World of Tanks use a similar system & have similar problems I work in retail & customers cards have been refused due to security checks if you have the funds it is easily worked out.

Obviously it is broken since it is still down for maintenance. I was planning on purchasing today on the 31st but looks like I'll have to do it later.

Quote

Founder's Down For Maintenance

Currently Playspan is down for scheduled maintenance. There are two maintenance windows.
  • JUL 30, 2012 starting at 10:00pm - 2:00am PDT.
  • AUG 06, 2012 starting at 10:00pm - 2:00am PDT.
Please check back often to see if the maintenance completes quicker than the scheduled maintenance window.

Same issues as some of the people you guys are saying are trolling and good riddance to.

I tried a few days ago to get into the founders program. Found out my payment was blocked through playspan's security filters. I inquired as to why, but they would not go into specifics... which sucks.. But I've mailed them back and forth and finally asked to be connected with someone in a leadership role because their usual techs were sending me robotic replies, to which I asked, "Are you guys using a template to answer me?". The lead Customer Service representative has been more helpful but only in saying that if I am at a deployed location overseas, I need to provide a copy of my ID... to them.. I'm in a quandary because I'm not comfortable making a copy of my ID card and sending it to them, but I don't have any other choice.. If I gave my Debit card info to kin back in the states to do the transaction for me, then I could get blacklisted for attempting to use the same debit card in 2 different Geographic locations due to the different IP addresses used.

Also, playspan is back up for all you other people! But I need to resolve this issue with playspan's customer support.. lame. Some of the other Pilot's were right, the issue is NOT with MWO per say, it's with the payment method they offer..

I just had a payment accepted at the elite level, and 10 minutes later still no email confirmation/receipt from Playspan and no confirmation from MWO. It would be kind of nice if they'd, you know, send you some notice that they are aware you just purchased something.

It may take a while, if it went through the should be sending you a reply soon. Gratz friend. Be patient, and for the others, try to be a little more understanding. Some people come off as tards or a holes, but if you jump on their case quickly, you chance seeming like an inconsiderate person as well. Food for thought.

i got a payment successful message and it seemed like everything was good (I'm in the UK btw)

No confirmation for me yet (about 20 mins and counting). Its frustrating when we don't know if its failed or not.
