Oh My Goodness, that made up my mind, I will get one tonight, but which one? Can't really justify Elite so will stick with the middle ground I think? Like the idea of the C-Bill boost :o

Can't discuss the whole game since the NDA and all, but been playing this game for about three weeks now and its the crisp aiming of MechWarrior 3, with the gameplay speed of MechWarrior 4, and super sexy graphics if your comp can run max settings. The beta access alone is worth it.

If money was not a concern for me, I would have dished out the $120. I love BT. The problem is, money IS a concern, and I cannot afford the Legendary package (in all honesty, I shouldn't have bought the Elite's either due to this, but did it out of loyalty for the brand+the Catapult, which of all the 4 'Mechs, is my favorite.) Not having my name on the credits doesn't bother me, and I didn't need the other 'Mechs. All in all, if yo uare well-off or are able to make the sacrifice and love the franchise, I see no reason why not go all the way to $120.00, but to some of us, it is frankly a lot of money. :/

i started with MC and MW3, played the CCG(a bit) and MC2 then MW4 (from Vengance to Mercs)
and even MW:DA.
but i would have purchased founders from just one of these experiences.

and i tell you: its worth it.

For me it was to support a game I believe in and get the premium account and ingame money. That said, I will always pay for premium, since my choice of mech isn't among the founder's mechs.
Nice to have all the mechs though, but they were not the main motive as I mentioned. Not mention anyting about gameplay, I will very much recomend founder's program, since it is a great game, even in beta (importan; it IS a true BETA, with everything a true beta involves) and as a relatively newbie to the universe, I love it! I'm nowhere near being a 5 kill-in-a-match superman, but love the direct support fire and to help others to shine! There's a role for everybody in the game and I was surprised how well it already works. And it can only get better with more content, tuning and such.

In other words; the best 120$ I've spent in a long time! (And I'm poor, so it was a shot in the dark.)

For the love of battletech/mechwarrior i would spend 120$
For the support of group reviving this old legend from its dusty tomb, i would pay FTP game micro transactions.

For this awesome product, even if still in its beta, i would pay... hell, all the mentioned above.
so yes, i can recommend this to any real mechwarrior fan.

I got Elite myself. I like it for the privilege of a Founders Mech, the 25% C-bill gain is an unique bonus.
But I would say that if you dont like spending money on things you REALLY dont have too go for 30$. I dont much care myself for a bit faster gain, I rather play free then, but the founder mech tipped the balance for me.

The Legendary 120$ package is something I have seen alot in other games recently, its a very popular concept born of the Kickstarter wave. It showed that some players are more than willing to part with several times asking price in return for special rewards and a twisted feeling of accomplishment. Some games, including independent tabletop RPG's can raise numbers such as 60k or 100k$ by offering these incentives.
Having discovered this niche any company would be a complete fool to say no to all that free money. Generaly for materialists and people with too much money/too little imagination.
Hate me if u will for spoiling your fun but if you cant spare the money DONT GIVE INTO PEER PRESSURE PLZ!

Thank you friends.

I'm almost purchasing. The only thing that's holding me is the fact that we have only PvP. What doubt. To purchase or not? ;)

Yes, and if there was a Mac version I would spend another $120 to get my other half into the Founders program.

The $60 founders' pack is the best back for the buck imo. :D I was about to get the Veteran, but the idea of having a Founder Mech, is too hard to pass, and the $80 in-game credits!

Is it worth it? I would say, yes! It has been a long time since I've piloted a mech. can't wait. :D

Yea just get the Elite Founder pack. IT is the most value for money. In regards to PVP, it is enough to keep us going in this game. A single player mode would always be great, but that shouldn't form your basis for not enjoying the game.

The mais point, at least for me, is the single versus multiplayer (the absence of a solo mode is something sad for me). I enjoyed some previous titles of this franchise. A lot! I am wondering if the same would happen, with MechWarrior Online and its multiplayer only side.

I confess I am very inclined to purchase a founders pack, however. Some of you experienced this same type of feeling? What have you done, if so?

Also, is there some NDA? And, are the graphics good? I'm asking due to some bad videos I saw. :D

Yes, its worth it, especially if you go the elite route. Then you get 80$ of in game money, 1 founders mech of your choice (from 4) and 2 months premium (50% xp and c-bills per match) The 80$ in game for 60 alone is prolly worth it.

I got Elite, and it was quite worth it. 80 Dollars of in-game currency, 2 Months of Premium, and Beta access is definitely worth 60$, the Founder's Mech is just the icing on the cake.

Any game where you buy power is almost definitely worth spending money on especially if they give away the stuff in bundles. With that said tho, Tribes Ascend took the same type of initiative and they slashed there prices 4 months after launch. So you might want to wait on buying founders for this game, then spend it later and get twice as much stuff, as the game progresses you're going to see larger and larger bundle packages for less and less money. So if you're budget concious wait 3 months or so after launch.

thats not why we are Founders. We are founders to FUND the game. Beta access and the MC are just perks. I am mostly interested in testing and funding this product so that it becomes what I believe is a true reincarnation of the TT game. Also, Founders will not be available later on.

This founders pack is nothing like the tribes ascend early access pack. That was a money grab. Please do not compare Apples to Mechs.

I really want this game to be great, but I am very reluctant with spending money on something before I can see detailed real gameplay information, not just stuff that the developer chooses to release, or possibly try a demo, or read a few reviews first. I did seriously consider buying a founders package for this game, and I respect those that did go that route, but I will not. I'm also a bit reluctant about the only PvP side of things with this game. Is it just going to be like playing a bunch of matches of Counter Strike over and over, but with Mechs, and having to pay to win? I don't know, probably not, but I'm just going to wait for the free to play release and try it out first.

Please no troll comments because I'm voicing my opinion.

Thanks.

Honestly, If you want this game to be great then you should be a founder. Also it is not going to be like counter strike. Read about community Warfare. If you read what is in store for us then you will be giddy and atleast go for the Elite founder (Wallet Willing). Saying that you won't fund it but you want it to be amazing is like seeing a child on the street who is yours, you hope they become a harvard graduate but you will not clothe them or feed them till they are a harvard graduate.. That is not cohesive to the devolopement of the child.

Yes, very worth it. My way of thinking was we pay $40 to $60 for new games anyway and I have been waiting for a new Mechwarrior game for quite sometime. So for me it was more than worth it.
