It is just a robot. Apart of mechs it looks like another Quake. Nothing more. Boring.

I feel like this should have any kind of narration, as opposed to the bright yellow text, which I feel detracts from the video and "cheapen"s the over all effect.

Sweet video, however 27 seconds in, i'm thinking, wow what is that giant beast, it is about 25% bigger than the Atlas!

Heres the thing. I'm not scared of the Atlas, I'm exasperated by it. Because, nine times out of ten it will be piloted by some moron that thinks he's godmode, and brought six of his friends (also in Atlases) along for the match.

It's like heavy tanks in WoT. So bedammed many of them thats theres almost not point in playing anything else if you want a chance at winning.

Lack of glowing eyes is well compensated for by the menacing paintjob - very nice! However, I wonder how long it will be before someone cries "pay 2 win" since the lack of glowing eyes is a tactical advantage?

They said they would remove glowing eyes at launch somewhere.

Atlas is always in my top 5 Inner Sphere Mechs, its such a beast and I like the variety of available hardpoints and their locations.

Quite simply the figurehead of mechwarrior and battletech.

Seems like the cheap way out of actually releasing a new mech, but what do I know!

Where's my Wasp?

Nice vid. U should have shown it walking over another mech. That's always a nice touch.

As I said in another thread about the expected Battlemech 16, it was a slap in the face of non-Founders. Giving them nothing really new to cuddle, only the Founders Atlas advertisement.

Going to play WoT now, they've got those 10th tier Mediums and TDs at last.

Yes, damn them for 'ignoring' the non-founders and all the money they've given PGI... oh, wait...

The Atlas is one of the most over-hyped mechs there is. Yeah it looks nice, but outside of 270 meters all it has is the LRM, which only has 12 shots. It needs support, and it needs it badly.

I'd rather see the LRM and arm mounted mediums pulled for a pair of PPCs. At least then it can consistently defend itself at range.

Depends on the variant and what you suggested is commonly done.

Oh, Dear. Lightly armored mech's i think we better start moving towards the door at a slow rate before it comes into range.
