a person which uses the atlas with stock weapons is crazy, i always give them another waepons setup, and then u will run ..

This is not TT, the combat is more fast paced and its hard to make precise approach maneuvers, enough that close combat will never have a high presence in this game. Its hard to imagine how to make aproper control system for grabs and punches in this game.

Do founder mechs just Look different or do they have any real advantage?
I'm new here, not in the beta so I have no basis for comparison.

Founder mechs get a lifetime 25% to there C-bills earned per battle, which stacks with prem account for a tiday 75% C-bill boost

It is nice and can be annoying sure, but I have soloed many an atlas in my day, Jenner FTW!!!!! A good pilot can take out any other mech in any mech, all about skill and stratagy.

The AS7-K was the truly horrific variant of the Atlas. Replace the medium lasers with two large and two medium pulse lasers, and replace the AC/20 with a Gauss Rifle, and you've got a powerhouse.

AS7-K has a Gauss Rifle. Specifically, it's:

2 x ER Large Laser, 2 x Medium Pulse Laser, Gauss Rifle, AMS, LRM 20

Edit: Forgot to say pulse laser.
