I tried changing the credit at the bottom, but I couldn't actually figure out how to get down there. :)

Second try, spent most of the day on this, (when not watching football) I see a few errors but overall pretty satisfied. Thanks for all the support from everyone!

Very nice job. Adridos has serious competition now. Will be interesting to see the progression of the both of ya!

Did this one today also. Did one up in forest camo for dropping onto those 'primitive' strips your combat engineers set up.

Used different opacity overlays to try and create a shadow effect like you would get under forest canopy for the camo scheme. Not really happy with the way the decal looks though.

Very nice Harts. Good choice with the Gamma Reg. insignia. "Deadly Dancers" FTW! :)

Glad you like it Alf

Hey, now that's a healthy competition! Considering how you are improving fast, Adridos and Jack, you will be making soon repaints as good as the masters (Ironhawk and Hayden). Keep up the good work!

For the bottom (credits part), I suggest you to copy and past the clean strip from the original mech. Then write with Calibri font (14 pt) the new credits and set the text to about 51% opacity.

PS: I loved the shark mouth in the PPC.

(even if beginners, Adridos and Jack handle very well the decals)

Wow! These look fantastic. The "kitbash" variants are especially cool.

Playing with marbles...

Well, another 3067-3068 rather than 3049-50 but still, I found the Highlander would lend itself well for this challenge: a marble effect from scratch and by hand (no pic reuse). Hope you like this rendition of the Blackstone Highlanders.
Posted Image

EDIT: Since I did say 'marbles' plural, might as well reap the motif from the last one and throw in a 1st RR Highlander based on a request by Joe Davion.

8th Syrtis Fusiliers Highlander. "There can only be one". This paint scheme is based off the one outlined in Camospecs '88, rather than CSO.

I loved this one! (the others are top notch too, of course)

Words cannot express how bad I want to see the Highlander repaints.

One request: Davis McCall's Highlander painted up in Gray Death Legion colors please :)

Also: One other request for those that have the talent.

My personal Highlander: "Pale Horse"

Pale grey camo with red trim around portions of it, the left hand actuator is bleached bone white, with "Pale Horse" scrawled in white paint somewhere on the left leg or chest, and "Revelations 6:8" scrawled in white on the cowling to the gauss rifle. Kill markers can be placed in areas appropriate. The DHB logo on the left shoulder and right leg would also be fantastic as well.

<S> Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. ;)

Death's Hand Brigade Mercenaries

Not sure if any of the "Big Guns" are planning on working on this, if not I'll give it a go in a few days...just need some free time to build the template first... ;)

Brilliant work, Hayden!

Could I make a request? I'd love to see the Kittery Borderers scheme, it's one of my favorites. I think there's only one example of it on Camo Specs though, so does this help?

Posted Image

Sorry it's the back end of a reseen Rifleman mini, but it shows the scheme best, I think. It's Forest green over Stone green.

It's been an on and off work-in-progress with the unit I am in... all work done in Photoshop CS5, template provided by this forum (big thanks to the author and this thread for it's inspiration). This is the final concept that got accepted for final design, just wanted to show you folks some more love for this thread, and another art bump :D

Posted Image

Proper weathering and realism effects will be added to the final: dirt/mud, scuffed/chipped paint, etc. once I find a nice technique I like to implement into this (note: white striping will be changed to yellow like the leg/arm)... Hayden, Ironhawk and others... your work is awesome and I look forward to more epic posts of your work.

I wanted to release the template I've been using for my repaints of the Highlander so that others like me can join in the fun!

Hope it's good enough for all of you guys! Credit goes to Nacon for doing 90% of the grunt work!
