Wow Kharnn! In spite of it being hard, you did great! Sorry didn't specify a color of tiger, but left up to the artist, the details usually turn out awesome, like they did! Thanks!

Thanks! I hope i can do another Tiger Stripe pattern. I got something in mind. Maybe on the next mech...kinda bussy atm.

ACU pattern looks suprisingly good on a mech I think. Well done sir!

Well thank you, too! The more i look on that mech with the ACU, the more i start to like the pattern xD Like i said, time for some urban action! ;)

First in the series, got the Atlas done, now I just need the other three.

Here is our unit coloring for the Skjaldborg, Shieldwall of Rasalhague.

Nice unit colour scheme! Like the blue/black contrast! keep it up :)

*insert Christmas Atlas and Jenner elves here* :D (<- Kharrn said)

Done and done!

How about an Halloween Atlas with a pumpkin head? Or maybe an dragon "Pinocchio" (long wooden nose) :D
As always great work Hayden. Keeps up the spirit!

And now what you guys have been waiting for! ;)

This time it is not a real Repainted Concept Art but...well just have a look for yourself. Got my hands on a pic of flyingdebris (Alex) and well..i just had to do this. And i don't know where else to post this...
I present my new desktop background image:

Version 1 (with "face")

Posted Image

Version 2 ("a look into the cockpit")
Posted Image

Atlas in the final production. Well left arm plating is still missing, the center torso isn't finished, some wires hanging out the left foot.. Maybe 1 day of work *hahaha*
I know the scale is not 100% correct and there are some mistakes from all my eraser and copy&paste work, but i hope you can enjoy ;)
Credits go to Alex Iglesias for the picture and the mech and to Hayden for the inspiration and colour template.

Have a nice Christmas Holiday!

Feel sorry for the pilot, that had to end poorly. Feel worse for the maintenance crew, they have to mop out the remains in the cockpit. Even worse, with as hot as mechs can get in combat, it probably smells like hell in there.

Hey all, so I'm thinking I'll probably start to get back in the swing of things on wednesday. I put up some new images on pg. 18. More to follow, probably by Wednesday (hint-hint, devs).

I thank you, sir. I honestly think Mr. Iglesias finished most of the concept art earlier in the year, and Piranha has just been releasing it as a trickle. Glad this thread (and those who contribute to it) give you something to look forward to.

EDIT: And I just saw that last part. I believe the phrasing is "Not if I see you first, you craven Davion."

http://browse.devian...hlander#/djn0qc

I realize that Highlander isn't MWO concept art, but...really, that miniature hand gives me the creeps. It's the only bad part of the 'Mech redesign, IMO.

Eh, there's a precedent for 'Mechs with tiny awkward hands. Take the Stormcrow/Ryoken clan omnimech. The hands are very nearly useless. And tiny. It also doesn't help that it has those big gun barrels in the way...

Hayden I hate to ask you to reveal your secrets, but I was wondering what tool do you use to get such straight lines? For instance, your Davion Guards repaint with the vertical stripes? I'm tired of doing it by hand. :) Is it extra layers/masking trickery?

That's pretty much how I do anything I want to be straight. I'll (if I want a "bar") take the rectangular sectioning tool, make it the size I want, fill it in, rotate as needed, delete the excess, un-select the area. I find making it its own layer first to be helpful, then merging it down into wherever it should be. That way you can rotate/adjust without making everything else wonky.

Polygonal lasso tool (hotkey "L" in photoshop). Google it and I'm sure you can find a lot of good tutorials. I also make extensive use of marquee selections and layers. Haha, I don't think of that as my "secret" to be honest. I think my bigger strength is in the level of detail/research that I go into. Being prolific probably doesn't hurt either.

ALSO, I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON THAT FULL-SIZE CATAPULT IMAGE! Today is gonna be a good one for the Capellans and SIC! :)

EDIT: And to a lesser extent, the Kuritans.

~S~ Hayden, I feel guilty for making a request and all and my inept skills as an artist, but if you find any spare time in the near future I'd love to see your idea of the Wolf Spider Battalion Colour scheme on that Catapult when they release the full size image.

Loving your work as always.

Blackfang out.
