Oh, hey, look, a faction tournament! If, like me, you enjoy representing your faction in colour, you're probably among the many people parading around this weekend in Kurita red, Liao green, Rasalhague blue, Steiner Original BlueTM, Marik pink technically-purple, or Davion red-white-n-blue. Of course, there's always those units that buck the trend, so here's a quick showcase.

My God, these are amazing!

^_^ Glad you like them!

The six images above, of course, couldn't have been made without the prior work of several other members of this wonderful community. This was meant to show up, but Imgur decide to replace my transparency with white, so it's a tinsy bit hard to see considering it's written IN white, so here it is in another post:

I very nearly did, before deciding that I had a theme of non-traditional colours going and that it would be stretching it a little too far to include grey-green as not-Liao-green. It'll have to wait for a future repaint.

Also, I'm currently working on Bishop's Griffin. Hopefully I'll have that up in the next few hours.

I dunno...I think I might feel a story rummaging around in my head. Blue, Yellow, Grey, Green.

And...man I've gotta get all these new templates! I'm behind on repaints! FEAR THE BONES!

I think I stopped getting templates around....uh....the Battlemaster. Still don't have the Griffin nor Wolverine as they hadn't realesed the concepts for those. Banshee and Firestarter too. Do we have any good Clan 'mech templates?

Bishop Steiner's Griffin, as reworked by me. The repaint is pretty much all his, I've just provided the Photoshop skills to make it work.

Going to ask since I haven't been in this thread in a long while, but are there any templates for the Firestarter, Banshee, and Wolverine? Same goes for any Clan 'mechs besides the Timber Wolf.

There's an outside possibility that I can do something about that in about a week.

I wasn't totally happy with the remake of the Atlas and I wanted something closer to the dimensions of the original Duane Loose classic. I took this image originally done by Ironhawk I believe and re proportioned the legs and head to be closer to the original 3025 version. I also worked on the left shoulder to make it more like the classic.
Thoughts?

be curious to see it without the painted head, just a stock Altas head. Something about the one you used, gives it too much of a caricature feel.

Makes it a little hard for me to judge the rest.

Needs some grit on it's left shoulder and on that com dish, they stand out too much. Blue patch on the left shoulder just above the missile launcher should be toned down a bit. The blood on the front under the head is cool...but as Bishop says something about the eyes/head wrecks it.

Just some critique, otherwise it's pretty cool!

I think part of that ls when he increased the head, it lost some resolution, and feels blurred, whilst the torso is still crisply in focus. Also the vampire skull just doesn't work when your head is now the size of a pumpkin.

Perhaps if the body was shrunk, instead of the head increased?

I went back and tried some alternate heads as well as fixed a few more minor things. This is the best version in my opinion. I call him Blue Max. Posted Image
