Not really MWO art but I thought I would show this one off. Its my Marauder in front of The Fort on Glasgow. Working on a fan based module for our RP unit the Glasgow Banshees.


Added the Griffin so MWO gets its due here.

Not so sure why people hate the reseen MAD so much. It looks pretty good from what you have shown.

I don't like the pronounced cockpit area.It wouldn't be so bad if it was more like the Madcat cockpit?

I adore the Reseen Marauder. This version is the best ever.

I once loved the Unseen Marauder. Looking back, the mech is too alien-like and so ungainly that would be probably impossible to walk or stand still.

Does anyone know if MWO is ever planning to put the Marauder in the game? I would love to see FD's version of this iconic Mech. The one I posted was done my Shimmering Sword as a personal commissioned piece of art.

The last word we got about that is something like: the Macross Unseens are still a "no-go" (Ask the Devs VLog #1).

*SIGH* thanks, seems kind of disingenuous since they used the unseens from Dougram. I don't understand how you can do one and not the other. If you totally redesign the image, its a new Mech. Ah well..............

Because apparently the holders of the rights to the Macross mechs are fairly rabid about keeping them and those who hold Dougram aren't.

Dougram owners never sued Battletech owners.

But I agree with you: if they release the Macross Reseens, these are completely new designs, and should have no legal issues at all. The problem with the legal battles between corporations is: you might lose even if you win.

No,if anything I would prefer the original Marauder Cockpit window {who needs to be able to see anyway?} but if we have to put up with reseens then something like a Madcat or Catapult cockpit would be better than something elongated?

I love the Reseen Marauder and wouldn't change anything on it.
Well, maybe fix the legs, but still, I find the TRO art surprisingly satisfactory.

The Shimmering Sword's version is even better, but maybe too dangerously similar with the Unseen design.

I love Shim's stuff, but IMO it's too close to source, and honestly, feels to bulky and massive. I prefer what Alex has already done with the reseen.

Qestion of tast (to each their own) but also a qestion legality considering Harmony Gold loves to sue people if it looks too much like a Macross machine (why we don't have a MWO Marauder and Warhammer)

I agree that the Reseen Marauder would get allot more love if it wasn't for the weak Locust like legs but I really dig the Sword's XTRO take;

I don't mind the design of the Macross mechs in MWO, as long as they keep the Alex Iglesias' seal of quality.

Really, the Marauder, Warhammer, Wasp, Archer, Stinger, Crusader, Phoenix Hawk, Long Bow, etc. need to be free of this legal curse once and for all.
