Back in the day's when battletech was kicking butt our group sat around at Gencon '88 and we decided to get a little silly, we'll after 48hrs of no sleep and at least 50 pots of coffee and most likely around 10 boxes of no-doz, who wouldn't be (hehehe)
What you are about to see using MWO (Hayden & Ironhawk) templates are the actual mech's I own..
If memory serves me I sold 1 (the original) to Randall Bills on Saturday but made a second one on Sunday.
I have a company of DC Heroes and a Company of Marvel Heroes, my friends made the Villains
To our collective knowledge no one has ever made any minis with these paint jobs, nor were there ever any copies of the custom record sheets ever made..
In this regard, these are very very rare mech's.
So here are the first two,
May I present.......
Supermech, The Machine of Endosteel.
And
The Batlas; The Hero that Rivet City Need's!

Well, I say these two looked the best out of the bunch.
Also, would someone like to paint my CN9-AL in a custom job? Or at least help me figure out how to paint up my own custom paint job on a screenshot?

Think this is a good start

The copper-effect is very hard to achieve . Try now to do a mask for the copper for different lightning/spec.
Need tips

I am constantly blown away by the repaints in here. The only thing I have not been in love with is the "Gauss-A-Pult" redesigns, all of which, TBH, I feel look a little forced, and with the cannons still looking WAY too small. (IMO)
I took this image apart and "rebuilt it" in the Mechlab, and then did the part I have figured out (aka hack n slash) to make an approximate of how I "envision" a proper GaussaPult looking. The Arms have been configured to act as ammo hoppers (only "reasonable" excuse I could come up for them to even still be there) and the Gauss Rifles/AC20 barrels... well yeah.
Anyhow, if anyone feels like doing a "proper" one, I sure would appreciate it, particularly if it could be in the 11th Lyran Guard colors (which I approximated as best I could). Also while not perfect, seems much more accurate looking that the one you guys are using (no offense intended to whomever made the mod originally)
But those barrels are just a little tooo tiny for my tastes.
Anyhow, any critique or tutelage on GIMP, and the rest is also appreciated.

Worked serveal hours on the ingame-shader but without more assets in my scene the reflection/specc dont show up properly. The lightmap is ugly
This is all i can show you. Need a break from this model Sorry Ironhawk!
Reflection...something like copper
Maybe you are interessted in the shader/material-expression too
Edit: Sorry!
Haha...could not let it go
Put in a scene-capture-actor for reflections ( the bubble ), have extended the material a little bit and exported a third uv-layout for the lightmap ...looks better now.
Cheers

I like it a ton. Enough to borrow it as a base for a Trebuchet Mod of my own. This one is a Short range brawler, with 2 SRM6 racks in the right torso, 2 SRM4 racks in the left arm and 2 ER Large Lasers in the right. Based off a table top design I used to run, speculating on the hardpoints for MW:O though.
Be the first to admit its relatively amateurish, but tis my first attempt to modify colors and stuff on gimp.

Like like like... One comment though, and I know you did it on purpose to put the skull on display, but the perspective angle makes it look like the viewer looks at the thing fro an Atlas cockpit. I love the B&W version. Nice touch.

My name is Ironhawk and I love this beastie... Allfex, I am now officially a fan of yours, Sir!
Hayden, pretty please with loads of sugar on top, make this copper secondary color a thing of reality in the game. That, and real joystick support by Paul and the crew, will get this MW4 vet back in my cockpit for some serious play time.

No not at all. Keep up the good work. I can barely get it loaded and understand what I'm supposed to do Lol. But definitely look forward to your build on the 19th.
