And even though I know that hardpoint wise, the Cyclops is a poor man's Atlas RS, I keep thinking they should bring it in as a premiere C₃ Mech, allowing it to have the largest number of Module slots, a Command Console, and being equipped for ECM.

Ok, because people apparently aren't getting the message, I'll say it again for everyone who has already said it. This isn't a Timberwolf, this is a Savage Wolf, a completely different mech. Unlike the Timberwolf, which you will see as soon as the Clans hit (probably), you won't see the Savage Wolf for nearly 100 years afterwards.

Yeah, Nyx, we get it. The reasoning is that the Savage Wolf is basically identical to one of the Timber Wolf variants, making this a pretty good idea of what an Alex Iglesias Timber Wolf will look like before the actual MWO concept art comes out.

We are already closer than that. The cover of the Alpha Strike rulebook has an FD drawn Timberwolf on it... too bad the image so far is still WiP.

you will have to forgive me if I hope the savage Wolf idea goes away, and Flying Debris sticks more closely to THIS


As his Model for the TimberWolf. IMO, the Savage Wolf is much more akin in looks to the MadCat mkII, and personally I HATE the flower petal missile doors. They make zero sense.

I remember seeing that on the battletech web page in the news section for may and noticing alex designed it. I actually hopes it looks something like that

I do hate the flower petal missile doors too, but I find all the rest of the mech absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, this Savage Wolf looks much better than the Timberwolf of the book cover. It is more streamlined, aggressive and modern, as you should expect of a Clan mech.

PS: I find the torso of most Timberwolves out there too fat and Catapult-like. I would love something more like this.
