Sorry, I'll get the hose... :)
and meanwhile have a probably finished Dragon. Still not that happy with the missiles...but I do really like the cannon effect. And lasers are easy~

I really like the canon effect, and I think if you had less smoke on the missiles (or maybe like a lighter cloud around the launcher that slowly got thicker as it neared the missile?) it'd look a bit more natural. Could always try to make the laser a pulse laser ;)

Very good stuff, better then I can do. B)

Nice job on the weapon effects, Catgirl. I have no clue how to do smoke and fire myself. As for the missiles, they look good to me, the only suggestion I can make is to maybe have a little less smoke covering the left side of the torso.

Here's my first attempt at painting camo :) Decided to make this one the Able's Aces merc unit. They're known for sometimes going into battle with mission-inappropriate camo schemes left over from previous contracts, arctic camo in a desert, etc.

Which unit specifically? Their color schemes run all over the place.

Oh, and Odanan, thanks for the card = ^_^=

Any unit with lots of green! :) House Hiritsu? I noticed that someone created an awesome in death commando colors but not the 4 PPC variant..

What about Harloc Raiders? Lots of green a bit of red and a single silver band.

Wolf Spiders mk-1 (Beakie Helmet) Catapult.
shrunk considerably by forum software

Simple re-paint with just a tiny mod on the pod doors (closed) and a bit of smoothing on the "shins" to apply some unit motifs.
Cockpit glass want bit of work still (our guys have given me some pointers on that) - Also experimented with a bit of shallow depth of field on the backdrop, old skool, muiltiple layers, increasing amounts of blur using alpha masks & de-sat as we go further back into the distance.

Still makes the cat "pop out" a bit too much for my liking though.

I want to figure out a nice way to convert it to a beakie K-2, probably using ballistic weapon from other concept art, but I haven't fleshed out the idea enough yet..

For what it's worth, here's my first attempt. Decided to go ahead and make a signature around it as well.

DUDE! You have to do more with this paint scheme! (Catapult!) ;)

I would definately PAY cash money for that paint job on my mech...or on my car even. :P

BigJim, Paragade... fantastic work on both. Love the paint schemes, to be sure, but the setting, BigJim, is perfect.

Death Commandos Stalker... Difficulty? A change in PC: actually going from iMac (what a screen quality these things have) to a Windows laptop (my new RoG for MW:O). Different gamma and all. Quite an adaptation. Hope I got it right.

Hooray, I finished something~

Added lots of scratches of course, plus some smoke effects, a whole new gun arm (yay PPCs!), touched up colors, glowy lasers, oil stains, a headlight, and a cockpit reflection. This is busy work but I want to thank Ironhawk and you others for your inspiration and making me want to try harder. <3

Aw, thanks. <3

Ps: I keep seeing teample credits on some of these pics - I didn't realise folk were putting out templates, very nice to all you guys!
If anyone would be kind enough to let me know if the Beakie-cat has been done yet (I don't know where to look), I'll put up the base layer of my Cat if it isn't available yet. :P

The last couple of pages are full of unremittingly awesome artwork so I've distributed some well deserved +1's and would like to add a most sincere note of congratulations to everyone concerned.

I need to get back into this :P
