Are you saying this thread is only for your lying Atlai propaganda and that no discussion is permitted?
Is that what you're saying, you crypto-facist totalitarian ideologue?

(see, this is where my education fails me - I was unaware that Atlas was third declension because my seminary education was not in Classical Greek but in Biblical Greek)
However, I can still make the argument that Atlases is correct in this context because it's a proper name that has been borrowed into English.
Therefore, pluralizing it as if it were an English word is appropriate, as we do with other proper names borrowed into English.
The debate continues!
As I said all along, hence my puzzlement at you taking issue, but cool. Koine kept that declension, by the way, it probably just doesn't come up in many (if any) texts.

Nope, I have my own knowledge of linguistics and the languages concerned. It's Atlases or Atlantes if you want to be a git.

The term "Atlai" is so pretentious that it makes me sick. Atlas is named after the Greek Titan Ἄτλας "Atlas". Stop being so darn snooty and get with the program. Good day sir.

So you light a flame that turns into a firestorm and then cry "What? Is something burning?" Typical
i seriously expected all seriousness to be left at the door upon seeing that this thread was created by me, its title, and the fact the title and op is in all caps, and theres a insanely rediculous poll.

However I voted for atlases being a correct plural for atlas.

Atlai is from the ancient Greek troll Awra.
You should get your facts straight before being pretentious.

(for more than 10, it's called steiner)
I was wondering what we would be calling a group of Atlai, you know we have murders of crows, pods of whales and mobs of kangaroos so on and so forth. A steiner of atlai it shall be.

But a Murder of Atlai sounds so much better...
