Aww, that's a shame. The first version was very good.

first version was good, but it lacked the Chaos from the RWARRRR effect of Mech Battle. Still though, much better thananything I could come up with so I tip my hat to you and I'll buy you a drink at Crashes Bar and Grill

Really like what you done with the first theme. I would recommand listening to the Mechcommander 1 soundtrack. I know it's all a matter of taste, but I've played every Battletech/Mechwarrior game out there and it's by far my favorite soundtrack. Would really like to hear a remake of the theme song from the Battletech 90' cartoon, loved that theme!

I thought you were up to a good start with the first version. Not trying to dissuade you from whatever you have planned for the second, but don't scrap that original idea, necessarily. :)

FWIW, I really like how the soundtracks to MW2 and MW2:Mercs reflect the different settings of the games. MW2 is very epic-sounding military march stuff to go with the Clans while Mercs has this no-frills Heavy Metal soundtrack. I'm not specifically a metalhead and was not so impressed with the MW2:M soundtrack at first. But I now think it fits really well with that gritty downtrodden Inner Sphere where you don't have time or money for much fancy stuff.

most folks definitely prefer piloting their mechs to powerful, driven, heavy tunes, because it is like the audio version of giant machines.

Nice, I'll be using those as references. FYI, just so you all know I'm not full of BS, my general-purpose portfolio can be found here: http://soundcloud.co...demo-reel-2012/

(not necessarily the one I show potential clients, but there's still plenty of music there)

I'll get to work!

Nice work dude.
Return of the heroe seems prety awesome as well as burning heavens.I think a combination of these 2 with a twist of rock could make it happen.

OK, I'm probably going to get into trouble for bumping a thread that's 4 months old, but I wanted to add some other good beats to the mix.

Sounds a bit too much Terminator for my liking.

I'm so sorry, but why did you name yourself ChadWarden?

Isn't it chadwardenn? And where is your PS Triple?

Really though, Garrett, these tracks are very good - I hope you continue to have success expressing yourself through music. ^^;
