I just realized this is the most involved I have ever been on a forum. Off topic I know, just throwing it out there.

Paul,

As a guy who once watched a show about Lawyers, I advise you to let us know everything you know about MWO, as soon as possible.

The Readers of CAT FANCY are a notoriously finicky bunch. You wouldn't want CATAPULT-GATE 2012 to spill over into the media would you? Just imagine the headlines .... " PGI Game Developer hates felines, frivolously flings them with 'mech "

Meow.

Russ made a post that this Monday (16th?) PGI will be announcing a major milestone in the game.

@russ_bullock
"yah by Monday we will let everyone know what milestone we just hit"

Might be something a statistical as a registered pilot (250,000+?) or be that the game moved into a certain phase (beta)?

It's the Dr. Atlas mini-game. Obviously.

Until we're ready to release our next batch of info, you're stuck with me.

Around that time I expect to be hounded for info but you're not getting it from me.
Right now though, we're having a lot of fun playing the game.
Everyone seems to be hooked on the game which is a good sign.
....
Wednesday the 25th has a special somethin' somethin' coming up.
All of us are looking forward to that date.
That day is going to be funny for us.. maybe not for you.
Check back then however, you don't want to miss it.
Highlight it on your calendar, check it on your checklist...be there or be sad.
Everyone... and I mean everyone!
Done for now.

OFFICIAL HOUNDING FOR DATA:
Can you tell us WHEN on the 25th? When should we begin salivating? When should we take vows never to forsake the Blessed Blake? When will we know this dark secret?

Nothing like seeing the labor of something one has had a hand in creating start to take life. I would say the greatest majority of us want you guys to take your time and get it right. We are excited, many cant wait,we have some apprehensions.
We are in a dark room hungry, every so often we catch a smell of something good being cooked,we whine some, the smell fades away and we are back in the dark. Trolls, creatures of darkness, whisper in our ears, teasing us that others who are better than we are will get to eat first. They mock and scorn us in the dark, they are but voices though and so we wait. In the darkness all we can hope is that when we are finially invited to come out to join with others to enjoy what has been prepared , it will be all that we have hoped it to be, and that we will be able to take our time and savor all the work thats gone into the creation what we have been waiting for........... for a very long time.

remember its just a game

I do a good Sean Connery impression. Now theres a computer voice for a mech.

o hell no, we cant go around piloting our mechs with constant james bond boners man. make it a regular mortal voice like hal from that space movie or gladiss from portal.

ps please include a solaris VII arena for us to farm cbills on, and please get duncan fisher to live broadcast the matches, lord knows he needs the work, hes canadian and theyre in a bad recession! hell he did mwll voice over work for food!

It's been a really exciting week I share Paul's sentiments each week we see more and more pieces of the puzzle fall into place, good times indeed. We'll be rounding it out with a beer fueled play-test (it's the key to our productivity http://xkcd.com/323/)

Paul and SuperFriends...

One thing that would be really nice is not only that you generate the salivary pokes-in-the-eye "HA HA we're playing your not" post to your potential clients is that you follow it up with some form of, "We learned these things from play-testing today. Things are going great, launch is on schedule etc" No promises, just resharpen the stick for the next eye-jabbing experience to come, so we're still wide eyed at the glory which is yet to be, giving your stick and easier target for the next one. Less eyelid traction when you stab us with these little niblets.

Don't worry, you can just find your own way to curse. Curse by your own name for instance.

How come the flamers haven't made their way around yet? I feel like an ***** only holding a hatchet.

The Flamers are asleep waiting for new content to set off the alarms. They probably won't wake up for just this.
