That's assuming if the machinery didn't freeze up and break on you. Anything mechanical, especially with lots of moving parts does not like the cold. How about some where in Colorado? Not to hot, not to cold, and you get all the seasons out there, and its mountainous which would make it even more interesting.

I'll take a quick and nimble medium mech, say an Uziel or Shadowhawk. One of the later Hunchbacks that were fitted with jump jets would be a very good choice. Or the Lynx.
