hmmm

we had so many fun days with the commando during 3025 (swarming urbies and taking them out with concentrated SRM fire), and the javelin too, but have gone for panther, because when you absolutely positively gotta jump snipe someone, its the best thing for it in the light range, with a valk coming in second for its LRM rack.

more 3025 memories coming back each second :)

Wolfhound, no Ammo to go boom, enough heat sinks and movement, to be a good recon mech.

Wolfhound WLF-1 or 2 depending on availability. Not the MW4 "Lol, X-Pulse" machine.

I'd say the original Wolfhound before you add double heat sinks probably can run really hot if you're not careful with it's armament. Aside that, it's definitely a tough little customer with a powerful punch to the unsuspecting.

Wolfhound is my favorite (wolves being my favorite animal,) with the Valkyrie a close second.

A subtle irony in that statement being as wolfhounds are breed to hunt wolves.

I'm voting Commando, mostly because of certain arguments on 4chan.

if you have ever been clowned out by a platoon of conventional infantry you would agree that firestarter is the best choice there is also no better city fighter sorry urbanmech

Indeed, but the pilot that brought it to the forefront was Phelan Kell, later Phelan Wolf. There also is a lack of the Arctic Wolf mech for me to pilot, as well as a Timber Wolf.

Commando for sure. The variant with Double SRM-6's and med laser/flamer backup is a personal light favourite of mine.

Playing tabletop I piloted a Valkyrie and a Jenner F (4 mediums and armor, no SRM rack).

I've got to say after playing against the DC for so long, I have a healthy respect for any Panthers. The things are sturdy and basically a pocket medium with outstanding firepower. Which is why it always feels so good to beat them in my Valk. :)

I like the locust's mix of mobility and firepower. It has nasty lasers and provides a nice speed to escape and evade with. The Jenner seems the most popular. Its my second choice. Fantastic mobility, Jump Jets, but a lack of firepower is what keeps me from voting for it.

Lack of firepower on a Jenner? What? In 3025, the Jenner was one of the most heavily armed light 'mechs available.

On topic, give me a Valk any day. The ability to cripple most other 'mechs in it's weight class without the threat of return fire is awesome.

Commando. Good old design, sturdy been around for hundreds of years... Plus it always got me through a good bit of MW2 Mercs until I traded to a Centurion or Crab.

Assuming we only have lvl 1 tech, I like the Raven as outfitted in MPBT 3025. A close second and third are the Wolfhound and Jenner.
