Commando. Good old design, sturdy been around for hundreds of years... Plus it always got me through a good bit of MW2 Mercs until I traded to a Centurion or Crab.

I still had trouble finding that last **** building level in the early game of mercs on my Commando. @!#%#$

Great mech though.

There are two on this list that are dear to my heart. Wolfhound and Commando. I went Wolfhound. Love the lasers; Must watch the heat.

Panther. In MPBT3025 first match with him, seeing a trashcan (Urbanmech) coming over a hill and with a single PPC longshot tearing off his right arm, is a memory I will treasure forever :)

I'm surprised not as many people went with the Valkyrie! The LRM's long range advantage, and the mediuml laser to ward off any faster lighter mechs that would try and close on it, made it an easy choice for me.

Urban can all the way. Small, ugly, but oh so lovely to pick off shoulder mounted weapons with the trusty ol' AC-10.

Have the hardest time picking between the two. I was a die hard Valkyrie fan until I learned of the Wolfhound some years later (as it hadn't been made yet,) but I really like both.

I always tried really hard to like the Urbanmech, but I'm really prejudiced against it from MW2: Mercenaries. It's just too easy to get a cockpit shot, and I can't tell you the number of times I quit after being blown up. The Jenner was a much better 'Mech, but it had the same problem with cockpit vulnerability. I just can't bring myself to forgive them for the trouble they caused me in that game.

I like them both, but between the Panther and the Wolfhound, I'd have to go with the Wolfhound most of the time. The Panther has a milder heat curve, but even without an SRM-4, the Wolfhound has more short-range firepower and no ammo concerns at all. If I had to fight in a city though, I'd take the Panther. Those jump jets give it an advantage over the Wolfhound, while its low speed is not as much of an issue.

Ah, the ol' Urbie trashcan. Whether you love it or love to hate it (mostly the latter), I think just about everyone would immediately recognize that silhouette. And the powerful autocannon. <3

My vote goes to the UrbanMech, I just love how they look. And while they aren't the heaviest or the fastest, but they pack a wallop all the same.

Light mechs I would say the Urbie, with the Jenner as a close second.

Nothing beats the raw firepower of those two, good to teach anyone a lesson who has a "its just a light mech" mentality.

Either a Commando or a Wolfhound for me. I like the light mechs that still pack some punch while not being brought down with a single shot.

Certainly not the BEST 'mech, but when I picture a light BattleMech in my head, I always picture the Locust.
