Dashi, more loadout options with the omni tech.

Atlas, stock loadout. Why? Because there is nothing like wiping the smirk off a clanner pilot's face with an AC/20.

Sorry to sound like a dick, but this is a stupid pointless thread. It is just a different version of the "are you pro-IS or pro-Clan" crap.

Wow... 18 pages of this? At least there is no end of activity on these forums :D

If the mission was to get into the enemy's face and hammer them down i would choose the atlas. Any Innersphere Mechwarrior would probably drool at the chance to pilot such a monster.

If the mission was to rain down fire from range i would have to go with the Diashi. It does however carry less armor then the atlas, so getting those (4) Extended Ranged Large Lasers coupled with twin Ultra Autocannon 5's and its LRM10 to fire in a few volley's before closing in for the kill with the (4) Medium Pulse lasers is key in overtaking the enemy.

But, if you ask me the awesome 8Q is probably the best mech for assaulting enemy positions due to the fact it is a "Zombie" and has no "Critical hits" weakness, due to its all energy based firepower (3 PPC's). No ammo, no internal ammo explosions. It also packs a nice amount of armor front and rear, and is a true beast to take down.

Also the Highlander would be a awesome substitute to any of these mechs, allthough you do have that pesky internal ammo "Critical hit's" to worry about. But when you can jump around and use the cover to repel some enemy fire it become less of a issue.

I'll take the original 100 ton assault mech, the Mackie.
Just kidding.
I'd say Daishi or Pillager

I don't think I will ever get the chance, but if I could, Daishi

Atlas, all the way. Nothing says "DIE DRAGON!!!!" like an Atlas charging across the map spewing death and destruction. I mean, come on, an AC10, AC20, SRM6, LRM10, and large and medium lasers, including a pair on the back for those pesky scouts? What's not to love? But then again, I'm partial to the "robot" style mechs, where the pilot rides in the "head" of the mech, and it has proper arms, with fists to punch you in the cockpit with.

I gotta say atlas. The intimidation factor is better, when an atlas walks on to a battle field it can single handedly turn the tide of battle, all cause of it's intimidation factor, Even to claners, intimidation that it can back up. the direwolf is a great mech, but the atlas is got my final vote.

Atlas, the daishi looks like a turtle with boxing gloves standing up.

If I could pick it, I'd rather pilot an Akuma but I'd have to wait until 3064

Clearly the Dire Wolf. Atlas is still the classic but (!), the Atlas is old. if u renew him with clan tech, it's still not as powerful as the Dire Wolf.
So: Clan Tech wins

Dire Wolf. I've never liked how atlas weapon configurations work out in their normal variants and even when customizing them they seem meh. I'd rather have a Jupiter over both of them though,

Atlas anytime. It looks the part 100 tons of grim death.
Would you really want to mess with it?
