I would like "the Widowmaker" the Daishi that was piloted by Natasha Kerensky. 2 PPC's,2 med lasers, and an AC/20....scary!! I hope they make that a hero mech on MWO

The Prime and A Variants should enable that config easily

Daishi. Anything the Atlas can do the Daishi can do way better.

You forgot the 2 Clan Large Pulses.

Widowmaker = 2 ERPPCs, 2 Large Pulse, 1UAC/20, 2 ERMed, 1 ERSml

Hrmph. A _true_ Black Widow hero mech would, of course, be a black Warhammer. Oh, Harmony Gold, why must you be such giant arsehats?

As an assault driver, I love the Atlas, the DDC is my go to mech. But I also love the Diashi and will probably have both. Who says I have to chose and give one up!

If I can I will put clan tech in my Atlas and have the best of both worlds.

I am sorry I do not know what a Daishi is... What I do know is that a Dire Wolf would rip that fugly Atlas to pieces every day at every time.

Raw firepower the Dire Wolf just has the obvious edge, however as far as personality goes the dire wolf has never been the most interesting looking machine on the field more like a death whale.

Atlas on the other hand oozes fantastic

Berserker! 100t 'mech charging at you going 120KM/h weilding a 7 ton axe and breathing fire! With the strength of 3 Atlases, and don't forget the Lyran Guard's half blue half white paint scheme. ;)

...PGI didn't like my 20 medium laser assault that could sustain fire of all 20 lasers for 3 turns without any heat buildup either, yay coolant pods, even had a pair of ER Larges in the legs for ranged combat

Sorry, but I must disagree. The Daishi is pure intimidation and is so because it's a freaking monster. Unlike the Atlas, it doesn't try too hard with a faux skull motif. I can think of any number of Clan assault mechs I'd take into a fight before I'd ever choose an Atlas and I have an Atlas in MWO. For that matter, I can think of any number of IS assaults I'd rather take into a fight (Sagittaire and Fafnir are my 1a and 1b).

You can disagree, doesn't really change anything though.

Its easily comparable to a Warhawk and Adder(for looks), its firepower is its center point (as I mentioned) but for looks, its generic.

It was made for functionality, not for looks. It's designers didn't go "lets make this mech look like a killer", they went "lets make a mech that IS a kill."...

But I'd take the King Crab still... :)
Sleek looking. Low profile (all the better to sneak up on you with), arm mounted AC20s/Gauss. LRMs, and lasers..,

Hard choice I like both mech's the Atlas and the Dire Wolf....I guess the Dire Wolf since I tend to like Clanner mech's designs offer IS designs the First mechs I was introduced to was Clan mechs From Mechwarrior 2 31 century combat

Atlas is a 100ton engine of a destruction with, and this is the technical bit; skull for a head. A flippin' skull, When my inner 10 year old sees a massive robot (I know they aren't robots!) with a skull for a head, A little light comes on inside. GG Daishi, gg.

You're right, it looks likes a Puma on steroids, but it fits my idea of what a mech should looks like. I prefer pod torsos over humanoid and reverse joint legs over standard joint legs.
