the new consoles will be super expensive I'm sure, considering a decent gaming PC can be had for around $500 that's probably about the same price as these new consoles when they first come out.

consoles have their place just as much as PC's have theirs,to me its more comfortable to sit back on the couch with a controller and play battlefield (i prefer twitch based FPS's on the xbox, mainly because thats where most of my friends are and also i;m just better with a controller oh and i dont use auto aim, it makes long ranger shooting easier) but for games like MW:o, any RTS, and most RPG's i prefer PC. that being said lets face it, theres just a lot more that you can do with a PC title than a console, for example MWO you NEED a crap load of buttons to make it authentic, i just wouldnt feel right pulling up a cama rose like in the mass effect games but at the same time i would die left and right without being able to click crouch or sprint, and somthing about pulling the left and right triggers to aim and fire just feels good, so to me its not the technical aspect of the games but the comfort level. just my opinion

The thing that I find to be the most fun about this thread is EVERY time a new console game system is ready to come out all the fanboys come out predicting the fall of PC gaming....I think ive been hearing that tune since 1995. The reality is that PC's are not going to just up and vanish, and it will always be easier to make a game for PC than it is to make for consoles. Take a deep breath and relax.

For about the same amount of money or a little more you can update your computer and find that consoles are for 12 year olds that like games that like video games. For the last two years little has changed in the pc market but the power is much greater and cooler. We were told that the PS3 linked together would be a supersomputer Sure. LOL The detail and quality in game machines talk a big game but when it comes to raw video power the PC is way ahead. This game will also be in 3D 1920 by 1080 not bad hmm. Every review has that windows 8 is not made for computers. It is a bust. It can't handle the power of the pc and is made more for text messages. Microsoft is a joke. They always talk a big story but do not deliver.

Update your system and you will see no comparison between console and PC.

If people want to play MWO, they will get a PC. They aren't going to say they aren't going to play it because it isn't on XBOX. If they do, screw them.

With every new console generation, masses of players flock to the consoles because the first few years of their lives they are superior to PC's. This current generation of consoles nearly killed PC gaming back in 2005-2009. And only now is PC making a comeback.

Consoles never be superior to PCs - the time a Console is released to the market its technology is already behind the current PC technology many years.
What makes Consoles look better is that there be still many old PCs around based on even older technology.

The funny thing is that PC gaming keeps showing record sales when the fanboys declare it is failing.

Studio Nue, co-creators of the macross series and designers of the 'Unseen' Battlemechs like the Phoenix Hawk and the Marauder, designed the robots for a unique mech fighting console game.

It is called Armored Core.

ACVI is due to release in 2014, for the Playstation 4.

The next generation consoles are literally using video cards that were developed a few years ago. The PC will ALWAYS be more powerful and better dedicated for gaming. Consoles are great for the kids. PC's will always have a fan base. As long as they keep making games that are too powerful to be ran on consoles, the consoles players can whine and cry all they want to. Believe it or not, they don't carry the market. The iPhone does that. Sad, but true.

IMHO PC games will last wile Counsoles change the only way i see any difference in console or pc gamming is if consoles are designed to support the PC games as they already hook to internet and can download game programs/content for platform games its a matter of time before all games and entertainment role out in one platform type

Didn' read all of the first nine pages. As far as i can remember both consoles that resembled PCs in the kind of games they were running ( XBox 360 and Playstation 3) were financial losses for their producers.
Sold at or even below their production costs because they knew nobody would pay for them if they would be as costly as a PC.
Considering the actual problems Microsoft got with their XBox 720 release because of minor quality chips and other hard ware problems and considering Sony push the live limit of their PS 3 up to 2015, I don't realy think there are any real threads at the moment.

Nope, and I don't think the better AAA game publishers/developers want to show off their BEST stuff on low-end consoles. They develop the games on top of the line systems, and because of that I would think those developers that are pushing the edges of gaming would want to envelop more of the "Hardcore" PC market. I know it's out there. If you want to be a casual gamer, use your phone. If you want a "family entertainment system" buy a console. But if you want top of the line graphics and you want the highest in the gaming experience, the market has proven that people will even push the hardware market to push their gaming experience to the next level. I have every console since the Atari2600. But I don't play games on ANY of them anymore. My kids do.
