Or Ravion, all the previous versions have never done justice, actually that is most of the TRO artwork, to what the battlemechs should look like.

I'll take complete redesigns on most of the old TRO Artwork tbo... and thank god its FD doing them!

In the end some like it some will not. But so far FD did a pretty good job for the other 5, I won't /rage quit MWO just because the Cent was not to my taste. But we will see.

So if the Centurion is already here, should we excpect the Trebuchet anytime now?

I mean they are 2 in 1 package don't you know that?

It looks really good, but almost closer to what I thought the Panther would come out looking like - the hunched-up join between the lower and upper torso doesn't seem to follow the more chunky look it used to have and the head seems a bit low which gives it a fairly squat look, while it was pretty much the one design I was expecting to get a bit of a pass on that front given the influences.
Got to be one of the more awkward designs to modernise though, so I still kinda like it despite its not seeming quite chunky enough.

Awesome job. I don't care if it looks different from the canonical look in that era. Instead I would love if Trebuchet and Legionnaire would be in the game.

a battle mech can only be modeled after a human so far then it just needs to be a battle mech

If they have the Centurion they better have the Trebuchet to go along with it.

NO!!! Blasphemy!!!

I may let it slide as a Centurion if the timeframe for this game was 3075+ since it looks like is was designed AFTER the Word of Blake Celestial class mechs were produced.

But this is in 3049

This is a Centurion in 3049:

Well as I look at this mech I see a sixties or 70's artistic influence, would you say it is groovy? I would man, pass it over man, bogart....

I like how the blurb talks up the armament when it's actually pretty seriously underpowered. Guess this is L1 era though.

Also, turning heads - how are you supposed to control them in a PC game? I don't think cutting them out was a bad thing.

I would have liked the complexity of trying to control the extra movement.lol

I guess im being picky but the centurion is a 55t mech, which makes it a heavy mech not a meduim. Also its supposed to have a ppc or large laser not an ac10 that was a customization made to Yen-lo-wang by Justin Xiang-Allard to the base Centurion model when he was fighting on Solaris VII.

Anyway not trying to hate but there it is.

Also really love the new remodel it looks tough.

The Centurion is a 50 ton medium 'mech.

The loadout is the canonical fit for CN9-A.

Heavy 'mechs start at 60 tons and run to 75.

Yen-Lo-Wang traded the AC10 and LRM10 for an AC20, and a hatchet. Later in its existance it'd trade the AC20 for a Gauss rifle.

Yen-Lo-Wang is a custom Centurion that was originally used by Justin Xiang-Allard in 3027 during his "exile" on Solaris VII and his Solaris Championship run. He modified the 'Mech originally with an Assault Autocannon and placed Titanium "nails" on the 'Mech's hand actuator. Warrior: En Garde pp. 138-139

He gifted it to his son, Kai Allard-Liao when he first joined the Federated Sun's arms forces, where he served with distinction using the 'Mech during the Clan Invasion. Hanse Davion personally had the 'Mech modified with Star League technology when Kai refused to accept Wolf's Dragoon's produced Daishi Assault OmniMech, offcially passing it to Kai on 21 September 3050. The weapons had been replaced with a Von Ryan Gauss Rifle in place of Autocannon and Spitfire Medium Pulse Lasers, two on arm, one on torso and one on back. Additionally Mech was refitted with new generation of Triple Strength Myomer which did not burn when exposed to gas, the Miata 200 extralight engine, and three additional, switchable Heat Sinks
