First thought was: "Huh, looks kinda like Vixen."

Second thought was: "At least it's not an embarrassing pile of awkwardly connected legos like the original."

Good work FD.

The new CN9-A looks more like a WFT-1 Wolf Trap than a CN9-A Centurion. This is not, I REPEAT, NOT Gundam. If I wanted a bad anime I would play Gundam. Instead I am looking for Battletech, a game with mechs that moved like, MECHS, not like ninjas on crack.

Sometimes I ponder on the validity of the makers of this game. Did they even SEE the original TT game, and not the Klix version.

Something about that red cockpit screams that it's of the Cylon type of centurion.
AWESOME JOB!

To my regret, redesign Mech`s becoming more and more similar to Korean or Japanese characters. They lost a spirit of BT.

I... I... I'm really not to sure about this design... Since when did battlemechs carry shields? The feet ... err... no, just... the whole design is nice for a sci fi mech, but if you told me it was a Centurion I wouldn't have believed you.

There are a few mechs that have shields in one way or another, the first one that comes to mind is called the Slagmaiden, thought I believe it is an experimental desgin. And as far as identifying it all I needed was the "helmet" crest and head design, but I guess there are different things for everybody that make something iconic/stand out.

Much better than the MW2M and MW3 renditions! A little more "stick-like" than I would prefer, and not quite true to the original... but compared to other appearances... much better.

Stop drawing cartoons of the Japanese cyborgs. This is not Mech!

The mighty FD strikes again :) The new Centurion has the silhouette of a warrior in armor, but it looks like a machine, not a person, which I think is exactly as it should be. Great job once again guys.

I like it. I had to look up the original drawings in 3025 SRO and this look MUCH better. Not sure about the shield or the feet, but the rest of it look great! I can see how and why FD did it though. I like the crest over the head like a Centurion Roman soldier and i can see that with that theme that he would have a shield.

Still over all, i like it. :)

Love the Roman Legion helmet shaped head. The name fits the look now.

The new mech designs are outstanding.

"The Centurion is best known for making slow, steady advances."

Can't wait to run circles around it... xD

Love the upgraded looks!

Is the painting on the Centurions upper right leg ment to be the insignia of the 39th Avalon Hussars?

One of my all time favorite mechs likely due in large part to the Warrior Trilogy. I really like the re-imagining and we can see how it brings out the key features. I will drive this mech!

Nice re-design PGI !! Thanks!

House Liao will take delivery of 1,000 units to the Celestial Palace.

Purchase order will be emailed.

It has some flaws (those legs are so ugly!), but I quess that makes him Centurion. :D

Still, I have seen better Centurions: ;)

Brutally good. A true Centurion, a mech that every Marian MechWarrior wants to pilot, even if their current ride is a heavy or assault class.

I understand the critiques but keep in mind guys

I don't just rub my hands together and think of how i can tear apart some of your childhoods

i first put some classical music on, pour myself some blood into a gold encrusted goblet, and laugh upon a throne of bones befor...i ...i mean i don't do that.

No, actually there are various reasons why the design looks the way it does.
Primary of which is that a lot of BT mech designs fall into the "humanoid with a cannon for an arm" category. And were i to stick too closely to the canon appearance, we could easily end up with a lot of mechs that would be hard to visually distinguish from one another at a distance. (The classic centurion head crest ...fin... sensor thingy, not exactly being something that would all that visible at longer ranges.) So to guard against the possibility, i had to make the mech as visually distinct as possible and push the proportions this way and that as well as add a few things here and there,

It's good to hear directly from the artist. I think it would be great if each 'Mech design had a brief design synopsis included with it, showing the artist's intentions and ultimate goal.

Remember this Centurion is posed to have a "come get some, you!" look about it--we don't have the concept art/black-and-white line drawing of how it looks "normally". It's angled, the legs are bent--and we have no idea how [awesome] it will look in game, either.

Feel free to ignore Amarus, if someone typo'd 'quiaff' in one of the novels he'd probably set it on fire and post its ashes back to the studio that wrote it, with a lengthy note calling them to trial on their obvious incompetence as members of the labour caste.

The position of loyal opposition is always such a cross to bear...

Also you are incorrect sir, I would send no letter! I would gather my Jaguar warriors and bang on their door yelling, "This is Star Colonel Brandon Howell of the Smoke Jaguar Clan, a full trinary of warriors stands ready to conquer your world, what forces dare oppose the Jaguar's Claws!"
