I have to go with the Wolfhound.

Incredibly well designed light 'mech. Not really an e-war machine per-se, but in terms of force-recon, you'll be hard pressed to find a mech able to match it. It's got a near perfect blend of firepower and survivability.

That's my pick.

If i like it extremely fast, being NOT hurt, i choose the Raven with a special configuration. But my favourite Light-Mech is the Shadow-Cat in a close-combat config, running around the enemy.

Hate to break it to ya there bud, but the Shadowcat is 10 tons too heavy to be a light 'mech. It's 45 tons, well into the realm of the Medium 'mech bracket. Still it's a solid 'mech (for a clan design anyway...)

The Raven is at the top end of the Light 'mech bracket. 20 to 35 tons is the weight you need to look at, anything above that up to 55 tons is a medium 'mech.

Just thought I'd clarify that for ya

The cougar is my all time favorate, its bredth of capabuility is impresive. A heavy scout, or a light assualt! it can take up and hold the line like the Urbanmech and move swift and get range like the Raven. (depending on variant/setup)

After that, the Panther is a good solid IS mech as well as the Wolfhound though im not a huge fan of lasers.

and.. the Urbanmech is unnacceptable..

Raven, and it's even bettere if you can drop a weapon or two to up the engine speed ^.^

P.S. There is a Cougar - Clan Light Mech, but it stands without competition and we won't see it in nearest 8 years anyway

Wolfhound or Jenner. I love the Wolfhound's ability to operate without supplies, and the Raven might as well be invisible at times.
