Ah, so it's kind of like what your civil war is to non-americans then? :) As for battlecries, there's so many to choose from. Hakka pälle! really only applies to the finns. It's their signum, and a sign that the badasses have come to help out their allies (in sweden's case any way). för kung och fosterland! (for king and country) fits rather badly in MWO's Rasalhaug lore. Needs something universal, that everyone can understand. after all anyone, no matter their creed are welcome to join the good fight for the republic. Either a translated hakka pälle: "Cut them down!" Or a "For the republic!" but i guess some yanks might have issues with that. failing all else, just a simple "BEEEEEEEER!" should get the message across :P

I'm going to have to go and say, generally nobody cares about anyone's civil wars, except the country in which it occurs, the American civil war is not unique in this :P

Isn't "Frihet" Freedom in Swedish?

If so, we should just use FRIHETTTT. =D

Indeed it is, but multiple E:s make alot more sence then alot of T:s.
In the form you have suggested, it almost sounds like you are trying to say "free heat".

Despite the fact it isn't really that nordic, the cry "For the Republic!" seems like a nice rallying cry to me.

The valkyries harvest our dead, I'd rather not give them the opportunity to do their jobs.

"Hakkaa päälle!" ("Hack them down") Sounds great to me. Short and agressive. Hey, could someone tell me how it's pronounced? Just in case I want to yell it some time?

Also, since we're on the subject of viking spirit:

Not bad, but I favor this.

Please forgive me, but my ancestors were Norwegian, not Swedes.

”hakkaa päälle (pohjan poika)”, ordagrant ”hugg på (nordens son)”.

english: Keep striking nordic son / cut them down nordic son

Its simple and its from the finnish-swedish cavalry in the 1600's

Tyr hjälpe

is great to as it is more from the whole north rather than two parts of it..

Well the video highlights of "Greatest Victories of the FRR military" basically is a repeating tape of a lone FRR aerospace fighter ramming the command deck of a clan warship.....

I'm not making light of it, no other Single House can claim that their military forces forced the clans to stop the invasion for as long as that moment did.

For victory or death!
Valhall awaits!
We're the guardians of Asgård!
Free will sacrifice!
As free men we are born, and free we shall die!
...and pretty much anything from Amon Amarth.

Drunk jokes also works. I liked *hic, Ragnarök, mead and Tyr, but for the Rebublic is great too!
