Well as far as Wings go I know Nomad has about hundred over in his battle if he wanted help. As for me You could do Apocalypse Wing, current assignment to escort and defend two battle taxis on their way to the TCV Somerville and open up some holes in her before they land.
Your make up would be as follows 7 http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Stuka-s , 7 http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Samurai-s,
and 6 http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Sparrowhawk-s

It would appear that as the Taurians have yet to launch fighters, you have no idea.
Wait until you see *my* fighter complement...

Vulcans are RWR fighters, so it'd make sense if I had some I suppose, not as sure about the main TC fleet - it's only mentioned that the -5N spreads to every periphery power en masse, and atm only -3Ns are available.
Personally I just wish I could get my hands on some Stukas with ECM.
And by ECM I mean 'Be able to break onto enemy radio channels purely to inflict the Jericho horn upon them'.

There's at least one (1) Sabre fighter on the Taurian side: Melissa, piloted by Force Sergeant Dale McManus of Rodeo Flight. Nomad posted about him here.

GW...you realize that there is nothing even remotely resembling a fire control tower on any of the ships here, and that even assuming you were close enough to the hull that your mag lock would work, you were in a fully enclosed space suit (Which most SLDF pilots are not, when they eject the whole cockpit ejects) and you didn't kill yourself on impact given the speed you'd be moving at, that the space around you is full of flying shrapnel at insane speeds and ridiculously high power weaponry?
Your pilot is going to turn into irradiated, cauterized swiss cheese about two microseconds after that post. And then he'll decompress and watch his internal organs rupture from every orifice.

I also facepalm at you offering to roleplay ASFs and immediately using them as impromptu marines.

I genuinely hate to be *that guy*, it's just that post is straight out from another universe. It'd work just fine Star Wars, but not in BT.
Also, I think you got your fighter roles mixed up, your Sparrows are Interceptors not line breakers, that's what the Stukas are for, you're there for support and killing capital missiles (Though don't quote me about the missiles, it's just what I'd use such fighters for)

The best defense in my opinion for space combat, is an offense. I used the better armaments of the Stukas to engage at range, where they can use them, and the Samurais to easily destroy targets with a single volley, the Sparrowhawk however, is fast, maneuverable, and has a smaller armament, a dogfighter. The military aircraft term for it would be "gunfighter" but with lasers instead. I used them to hit the enemy hard and fast, one of my standard tactics in SW:EAW and FoC. Engage with light fast attacks first, then mop up with corvettes, or heavy fighters doing strafing runs.

Continuing the EaW analogy, Stukas are your B-Wings, Samurai are TIE Defenders, and Sparrow Hawks are TIE Interceptors. Each has a role. Defenders kill fighters very well, B-Wings kill big targets, and TIE-Interceptors intercept fighters and bombers. Remember you're in space - the distances in difference in ranges for those armaments are insignificant, and the Stukas have much more armour than your lighter units. They're done in the same way as battlemechs. The heavier the fighter, the more guns and armour, and thus the bigger role in breaking a formation. You don't send in your lights as a vanguard, mediums as a main line and assaults wander in later.

I feel much better about it... now, if only my EAW worked, I got twenty minutes before it finishes.

I sent this to Mr, Rogue yesterday, it sums everything up without going into too great of detail.
I got home last night (Tuesday 2:15ish in the morning) after a 11.5 hour shift to find the ole' lady had all our stuff packed up and ready to go. More drama/stupid stuff, but needless to say we loaded up the car and I drove all the way to the Bay area from Nevada... So yeah now I'm letting ya know that I moved, it might take me a bit to get situated, so please bare with me...

I'm actually doing alright... still got two paychecks (though one ridiculously small) coming in. My best ummm... American friend lives like 15 minutes away. For the most part we're situated, I just need to find a job. Dude at my interview said that he'll call me Friday sometime, so lets hope... Oh and I got my computer back!! :D So I don't have to worry about crashes and contemplate throwing it out the window.

Just posted on Steel and Snow, and attempting to catch up with the other RPs as well. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I'm trying to catch up too...let it slip a bit over the last three weeks while house sitting.
