Just wondering if the game is going to be real time sandbox or not or a combibation thereof. Other online games seems to have a fascination with the WOW models (STO, Star Wars etc..) and I was wondering why not more like EVE and have a persistant world structure or a combination of some kind.

Q. Will MechWarrior® Online™ have any online persistency?

A. Yes, this is where our plan for the Inner Sphere comes into play. All players in Merc Corps will be fighting for control over various border planets. The state of these planets is persistent.

So we fight for planets, which are always there, just ""control of the planet"" means mission accomplished...which is what eve is; it is a persistent sandbox

But this has a twist that sounds like Wow server Battlegrounds..

Dunno, I guess either way I am excited to get this thing online soon....

and you wont need a live spreadsheet and calculator to figure the game out. Plus it will follow an established timeline or and wont be a click fest of obscure menus.

Hey Ramagar. Opus is correct. You can learn a lot by reading the FAQ as well as the DevBlogs like "Why You Want This To Be F2P" etc.
