Haha! I'm from the UK as well, and I played all the MW series using a sidewinder 'dual strike' which I swore by , unfortunately, they're rarer than rocking horse s**t, and besides actually getting them to work in windows these days is a no go, so i'll probably have to go the hotas route ;)

Glad to run into some UK players ^_^ i've still got my good 'ol logitech wingman for use stomping around in mechs, I'm liking the sound of this group, and would be looking for a few regular GMT guys to game with :)

I am interested in this idea. I wont be able to begin playing until late August. I have beat the campaigns for mech - 3, 4, and mercs. I consider myself to be a decent player and quick lerner. i prefer to play as a tank up close and personal or as a light/med scout far away. Where do i sign up?

Heh laid back fun group that doesn't take themselves to seriously, sure sounds good. After reading about to about 5 pages back, I realized I don't want military structure I don't want to salute or take orders, I just want to have some fun with people who will have my back. Sounds like the right place to be. If anything comes of this, I'm game.

"I'm not as cool as Han Solo, but I am much cooler than Jar-Jar Binks."

^_^ Sweeeet.

Seems like the A-Team meets Slapshot meets Cannonball Run meets Gamer.

A couple of names to gnaw on:
Sproc Setarip - Pirates Corps assbackwards.
BMF - Best Mechs Forever or BFMF - Best Farkin Mechs Forever
Could you imagine the shame in losing a battle to "Best Mechs Forever"? It goes quite nicely with the notebook scrawling logo. It also begets a pretty awesome broken heart insignia like the necklace charms my daughter buys and gives half to her "B.F.F."

East coaster that will have to play later at night due to family. Looking forward to the 8/7 date for sure, let me know if you're going to build this out.

If indeed you are serious about this MERC group, I too am more than interested in joining... but as of yet all I have seen is a pretty little pitch talk... albeit I do like your pitch. If this Pirate group of yours comes to fuition please contact me.

err... I mean, I may end up creating my own Merc Corps
