The best balance of firepower, mobility, and armour in 3025 is the WVR-6M. Many mechs, including Assaults, have been brought low by this beast. Terrifying little monster.

Easily my favorite medium.

And I could have waited for the Clan invasion a good 20 years honestly. Sigh. :)

I couldn't resist the temptation. There were no votes for the Scorpion, so, I just had to give it one.

Sure, we already know the values of the five most popular medium mechs, but no love for the runty quad?

Shadowhawk for sure. When Battletech (the tabletop game) first came out, this was tied with the Warhammer as my favorite ride. It was great in that you could move your hardest (jump) and fire everything the default build had and still not overheat. It could take a decent beating too. If it had a weakness, it was that it just didn't have a real knockout punch to it, but I enjoyed the weapons package anyway, something for all ranges, and it was good at the finishing shots, even if it couldn't go toe-to-toe with heavier mechs.

Wolverine - WVR 6M would be my favorite. Speed in excess of 86 km/h + 1 LL + 2 ML + 1 SRM-6 + jump jets = natural born killer of heavies and assault mechs.

WVR 7M would be even better with 2 ERLL, 2 MPL and SRM-6, but alas it doesn't fit the game's timeline as it is a creation of Jihad era (3085 Project Phoenix Readout).

I have to agree. The Enforcer would make an excellent choice to use in this game.

Out of these mediums I'd have to say Cicada. Zip around the battlefield with two MedLas and a flamer in a small fast medium!

Centurion! Great medium trooper, with enough armor and firepower to fight in a variety of environments, despite the lack of jump jets. Second pick is the Enforcer for it's mobility and third is Wolverine for it's steadfast support role.

Vindicator for me, nice blend of firepower and mobility. Otherwise I'm a Cicada fan, love the speed.

Can't vote the Nova. :)
And yes, it was around in 3025, if only in the Kerensky Cluster/Pentagon Worlds.

Phoenix Hawk; Iconic, maneuverable, and mean; if you can handle the heat of hopping about like a frog on speed, it's the perfect hit&run/Recon lance leader.

Plus I have fond memories of it on the board game back in the early 80's
