the Uziel is one of the best medium mechs in game. I would rather have the Uziel then the Bushwacker. both would be nice but Make the Uziel!!!!

MAKE THE UZIEL PLEEEEEEEESE!

Voted no due to the timeline. That said, I'm not a fan of the mech at all.

Let's get this good looking mech in the game.

It doesn't exist for another 10-15 years in the fiction.

Putting it in the game would be like putting an F-14 Tomcat in a World War 2 game. Stupid. Silly.

There are many other 'mechs that fill the role and have similar aesthetics. Chill. No need to drop a deuce on the universe just because your favorite mech from the last game (Set 15 years in the future) doesn't show up.

The reason why Uziel is not going to be in the game is the same, why knights should never fight robots in any game. :D

As good as it is, it is outfitted with technology that would sweap the floor with every single mech here and it is impossible to implement him into the game at this time.

I'm gonna take devil's advocate here:

Unless you're diehard pro-canon, there's no reason the MWO devs can't retcon a prototype or pre-production Uziel into existence by 3049. That's just 18 years - a paltry time gap given the crazier things that have happened in btech, like centuries-old designs rediscovered in caches (and alien birdmen). Secondly, it wouldn't be the first time a Btech or MW developer did this - just look at the Mauler, which later became a descendant on the Daboku, which later became a descendant of the Linesman. Hell, why not do it once over and make a fourth Mauler prototype just for kicks (we'll call it Stick-Hands McBeerGut, mk1). Also, the stock 3067 Uziel loadout isn't overpowered compared to 3049 mediums - replace the LBX2 with an AC2, and the ER lasers with their standard counterparts, and the Uziel is just another IS mech that didn't figure out what area to specialise in. No game balance ruined here, folks.

I guess a valid opinion to not include the Uziel is that it is subjectively distasteful. You hate it because it because you're a stickler for canonicity, or you hate it because you think it's an ugly pile. Totally legit opinions, just say it!

I would love to see the Uziel in this game but my vote is no.
MWO is set in 3049, as long as we don't have every mech from this era implemented into the game i see no reason to take one from a later one. If we run out of mechs and have a perfectly balanced, detailed etc game only then should the devs consider forwarding time a bit.

Well if the Raven can't make it in, then Neither should the Uziel, I recant my vote.
I love the Uziel, It was one of my main Mechs for 4 years but if I can't have a Raven because of the time line then you can't fudge for the Uziel.
Believe me when i say this is a tuff decision. I would rather see the Raven then the Uziel.
Look at my sig-banner, what is the first mech you see?
Does it start with a U and end with - ziel ? Yeah... thats how much I love the Uziel.

Is MWO canon? Although the timespan in forums is 1 day = 1day, what is the time-span of the game (1 mo = 1 year?). It would take ages before seeing clan events.

We will know when they get us to 3050 a YEAR after the games release. Besides the Uzi needs clan tech to exist, just like the bushy and a slew of other mechs. As for this thread, I have to echo everyone else, why is it in the clan forums?

The answer you had already given yourself: 1 day in RL is 1 day in MWO (+ 1037 years). The 29th of February 2012 is equal to the 29th of February 3049!
About the clan events: I don't know what you see as "ages": the spearhead of the clan invasion hit the IS mid August 3049. The main invasion start in March 3050 (which would be March 2013!) You should give the Devs some time to get the mechs in for that, they don't slipping them out their sleeves! :D

Not sure why it got posted in the clan area when I meant to post it in the suggestions area, sorry about that. And I forgot about it being a '55 '60 mech, for whatever reason I thought it was made in '50. Oh well, I'll just have to wait.

Read the above quote. I made a mistake, I apologized on page 2.
You may all continue with the flaming lol

And in case anybody missed it.... I'm sorry about the mis-click that posted it in the clan area, and I'm also sorry about the mistake regarding when it was made. I legitimately thought that it was made in 3050 when I made the post..
