Choices are Blackjack, Hatchetman, Vindicator, Wyvern.

Oh man, this is a tough one. Blackjack, Hatchetman, and the Vindicator are all good 'mechs. I think I'd like to see either the Blackjack or Hatchetman, though unsure how that'll look since we may not have melee.

My pick is the Blackjack!

I'd rather have an Axman over a Hatchetman if we had to pick. Also neat to see them listing a 'mech that has a clear melee weapon...wonder if it's a hint or just showing they won't give up on the idea for future use.

Interesting side note, both the Merlin and Hatchetman in their fluff say they were the first new battlemech to be produced in about a century. Also, each 'mech listed only runs around 64/kph...all seem to be good for close in fighting.

Vindicator, I like my PPC. So Hatchetman, this meaning you guys have a general idea how you are going to do Melee? You know... to use the hatchet... please say yes! Be so freaking sweet.

Hatchetman is poor substitute for Axman, but it's got an axe so it will have to do.

Second pick would be either Vindicator or as Fearless Leader above mentioned, the Phoenix Hawk.

I share your concerns Dihm. When 55 tons kick in, there will be no Shadow Hawk for sure.

Unfortunately no, there's no way to vote unless you're on a Facebook account. I made one initially a long time ago when it first started but quickly shut mine off. Kind of unfortunate that we've got to use it for voting.

Also, I'd be careful of putting too much stock into what these polls mean, they said there would not be melee at launch (or ever,) and they had included the Ostscout in a previous poll and it's a member of the Unseen/Reseen. We've got no new info on either topic, so there's only speculation that we could make at this point and there's no way to be certain until PGI says something.

You can always think that they've already added the Pheonix Hawk, and thus didn't need it in the polls

Maybe they should re make the poll in the threads they do here as well... Though then people can double vote and it scews the numbers they are looking for.

I vote for the Vindicator. I'd take them all, of course.

EDIT: Actually, in keeping with my policy of "include 'Mechs never before included", I'd nudge out the Vindicator in favor of the Wyvern. Decisions, decisions...

Maybe Russ wil give pitty on our MechWarriorless souls and give us a early before GDC screenshot... maybe.. Trurthfully... I really would rather some big crazy showing of MWO at GDC to blow us all the hell out of the water, with no info before hand...
