I'm not getting excited yet- every time I hear the word "social" mixed with "game" I have panic attacks ("Click to collect salvage!!" augh)- but hey, I'd be into another mechcommander.

I only see the ironclad logo on the countdown site with the soada game that they have which has nothing about BT or MW on it.

Granted both use the same publisher Infinite Game Publishing, but I don't know to what extent these guys cross over as far as their respective games.

No problem. You are not the first and won't be the last to be confused by a press release wording hehehe. We just wanted to clarify before the confusion spread.

Back to topic... This seems to be a great year for mech squashing, and I enjoyed MechCommander 1 & 2 a lot, so... Galactica, IMHO, was good from a "look what's in your browser!" perspective, but I found the game boooring (too much walking around and action was meh). but that was not a technology issue, so nothing that can't be fixed in this one

Indeed, if they can provide something of the quality of looks that BSG:Online was able to do in a browser but for Mechwarrior I would be so happy. I also agree with you, the guys at NGNG and A.C.E.S played it and I tried to get into it but I just could not.

I'd have trial with anybody over a new MechCommander the first two are some the best strategy games I ever played and I will charish them for a long time.

I noticed that one of the key words for the website is 'clan mechs' if that tells anybody anything.

MechAssault is not MechAssault but a MechAssault like game called Reign of Thunder... you also forgot to toss in Hawken in your line up... With MWLL and MW4 still going strong... Year of the Mech indeed
