Well hello from a new potential fan of this game. As a fan of mech games in general (and wish there were more in our US pond), I'm honest enough to say I've never heard of this game series until a few months from IGN dot com. Thanks to a new Windows 7 computer that I bought I'm going to download this game as soon as it's ready. Hope it will be a fun ride for all of us

This is actually interesting. I started playing mechwarrior tons of years ago, when i was a child. God, I loved that game so much, especially vengeance. I really can't wait for the open beta and the official release.

Great thread! The only MW game I played was MW3, so I'm still pretty noobish to the series. I've forgotten alot of stuff about the series so this is a great starter resource. I cant wait to zip around in the light/scout mechs. I loved the Puma in MW3. Will there be a comparable mech in this game?

i would luv to beta 2012 test this i feel that i am a mech warrior i have been playing all forms of battletech sence 1992 - 1993

i have all the mechwarrior games even the old amega version

Watched the latest videos on IGN. If the devs stick to their vision, this will be one fantastic game, methinks. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high though, but it's hard not to be super excited and optimistic after seeing the gameplay vids.

Started out with MW2 for Dos, played every game until MW:4 (even the Mech Commander series), Read a ton of books, even read and played the other MW mod out there. Damn, can't wait.

Any recommendations on a good joystick to buy? I remember playing MechWarrior 2 with a Microsoft Sidewinder. Fun!
