Going off of the few posts I have seen about Founders and Beta keys lately, and I hope I am misinterpreting what I am reading, but it appears people are saying that as of now only the ones that bought the Founders packs are getting the Beta keys? Please tell me this is not the case. This is bothersome to me as I cannot afford the Founders packages at this time.

Russ Bullock has tweeted that there will be more information very soon (post August 7th) on non founders.

"More information coming for non founders after Aug 7th" - Russ Bullock @Russ_Bullock

I really don't understand the reasoning behind this as the Founders are already getting early access?

Because we bought the "special" edition? Many games offer beta keys to those who buy more expensive versions. It's not a new practice and shouldn't really be a surprise.

The Founder's early access is beta access. We aren't getting early post-beta access. When the doors are open and the last reset is done, it's everyone in the pool.

I have seen such things done before, but it is usually the early access, which I do understand and am fine with. However, limiting the Beta pool to only the ones that bought the Founders packages is a little much I think.

I'm not asking to be allowed access to the early play on Aug 7th as I couldn't buy a package, but at least let the playing field be even for the dang Beta keys.

Besides the fact that we spent money I'd say it makes shure that the first waves of people in the beta are people who actually care about the game. There are tons of people who sign up for pretty much every beta just so that they can have an early look.

I dare say we are more invested in the games success than non-founders. Having dropped $120 on the game I'm not about to just walk away from it because of a lack of current content as I have with Firefall at the moment. If the game releases badly unbalanced blame us founders as we likely haven't made our concerns heard.

And no I don't have beta ^_^

I think the reasoning has to do with the fact that the Founders packages were originally supposed to let all the Founders in July 17th (they had to push it back to August 7th because of delays getting production servers up and running). Instead, they have had to slowly build up the number. With this in mind, it only seems most fair (not completely of course) to bring in only the Founders for now.

We paid to play, you didn't. Seems fair to me.

come cry me a river after you have spent $120 on a founders package and have missed out on 12 rounds of invites. Sorry not a heap of sympathy for you here.

Yeah, sucks to not live in NA apparently. Not one of my clan members is in the beta yet and we're 21 people.

i look at is more of an incentive to become a founder and fund the game that you will be playing for free..... Its kind of like getting a free car from your parents and then complaining about not getting it before your birthday

Prior to all of this "Founders Only" stuff there were over 10,000 people included in the Closed Beta.. that is far from:

"limiting the Beta pool to only the ones that bought the Founders packages"

And having said that there are MANY people who have bought Founders who are still not in.. and if those recently deleted threads were actually true.. a group of friends (doesn't say how many) bought the founders TODAY and all but ONE got in.. seeing stuff like that is a bit disappointing..

I understand your (the OP's) disappointment also.. but that's the way it is.

Look Guys, and Gals, I am not saying that you shouldn't get what you paid for. I agree that since you Paid for the game you should be allowed early access. You spent the money, it is your right. Believe me I will be envious of all the Founders when the 7th comes and you all are playing the game. I, on the other hand, will have to wait until after they let us non-founders in. I am ok with that as I didn't invest in the founders package. I just wanted the Beta invites to be on a level playing field.

:::EDIT::: I was hoping that I was wrong in this matter but I see that I was not. I was not trying to start a fight just express my opinion.

I think selling the founder packs and letting people in the Beta gradually is proving to be a good marketing strategy. (nothing wrong with that) and I love mech games as much as the next guy (mwll 2plus hrs. daily and have been a Mech guy since 1995) but to me it would make sense to at least play a demo or something before I shell out $120. If this Mech game is as good as it is hyped to be they will have my support 100%. jus" my 2 cents worth.
