Just because it isn't what some of you are looking for in a mech game does not mean it is "Full of fail". It just means it isn''t your cup of tea.
Also I would like to add anyone who thinks it is just going to be a fun time because of what the trailer looked like don't be so sure about your thoughts. Most of the MechAssault trailers looked like a fun time, but the actualy game was far from one. It is just the Day 1 trailer style.

I amend my comment. I was quick to judge, this looks like alot of fun and there seems to be some solid work going into it. I am sorry.

We're getting MWO and I'm considering a proper Mechwarrior unless proved otherwise once it releases.
Though I'm with you on the MechCommander there...I wish someone would pick it up and make a third game of the series to do the amazing series justice.

As i said before, everybody wins ! But there's customization, weren't you against it? Just kidding! It's similiar to that one in MechWarrior 4 as far as we can see...
Jokes aside, it's good to know they look for beta testers see you ingame!

THAT'S THE POINT! MechAssault is not the IL-2-ish simulator that MechWarrior is, but instead, it's an arcade game for giant robot fans who ARE NOT hardcore MechWarrior fans or can't understand all of the complex features of it. It's not that Day 1 Studios didn't understand BT/MW or something like that, it's just that they took a different approach. People really shouldn't hate on MA just because it was different.
Also, to that one guy who was ragging on MW2/3, MW3 WAS/IS MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME. Unfortunately, I can't play MW2 because my PC is not old enough and I can't get ahold of it, but at the very least, the soundtrack to that game was EPIC.
P.S, I put epic in huge font because MW2's soundtrack truly is EPIC. God bless Jeehun Hwang!

ok....so 2 things:
1: You don't think that MWO is a proper MechWarrior Title? Screenies look pretty good to me...
2: This studio (Day 1) has already announced a title "Reign of Thunder". Looks like same basic gameplay as MA, just not in BT universe...though some of the Mech designs look kinda questionable...
And BTW, since i believe Piranha owns the IP to BT (feel free to correct me on that part), I don't really see a reason for them to make (or give out rights to make) another MA. Yes, MA was terrible canon-wise, but the gameplay was at least decent! I think what killed the game was the fact that BT fans hated the fact that it really twisted canon. Honestly, I think that there will be an audience to Reign of Thunder! It looks like it would be a decent replacement for MA, without all the crap storyline not meshing with BattleTech.

What's worse is when people like mech assault more over mech warrior. I just facepalm then.
