Some are IS standard, i.e. mechs in use by all IS factions. Such as the Warhammer, Marauder, and Catapult.
That, and I do prefer ballistic weapons in most cases, an AC/20, UAC/20, or Gauss being my personal favorite ways to suppress an inferior culture.

But from the currently available ones:
Light: Panther, Thorn. Hussar too is interesting, but I'm not sure I'd like to pilot it myself.
Medium: Crab, Kintaro.
Heavy: Dragon, Guillotine (I'll probably have to swap G-tine for the IS general Grasshopper though)
Assault: Crockett/Katana. Hatamoto-Chi is okey I guess, but for some reason it doesn't really click with me.
Of the 'mechs coming in the next few years, I like: Raptor (3052), Venom (3050), Wolf Trap (3051), Komodo (3053). Daikyu is nice too, but it's bit later one.
Lastly, I
Because seriously:

Until mid-late 50s we got...
Panther, Jenner, Dragon, Grand Dragon, Hatamoto, Daboku/Mauler...
Not counting the 'mechs we got from C*.
By the time of Operation Bulldog we've got far more interesting designs.
Akuma, Bishamon, IS Omnis, Daimyo, Daikyu, Gunslinger, Hitman, Komodo, Naginata, No-Dachi, O-Bakemono, Venom, Wolf Trap...
Yeah, 20 new 'Mech designs in only 8 years, including 8 different OmniMechs.
The number of "combine-specific" 'Mechs increased by roughly 400% in only 8-9 years.

And bare in mind they are some of the best looking / performing 'mechs the IS has to offer.

The Venom is produced in the FWL, but primarily exported to the DC.
Ditto for the Spider.

The Hatamoto low-tech versions were 1st used in the War of 3039, whilst the high-tech versions went into series production in the 3040's, so they are good to go. But I'm not sure how the "tin samurai" look would fit with PGI's artistic vision. You'll have to wait for the others.

Gunslinger is originally FedCom 'mech actually (Poland Gauss Rifles, Defiance Lasers and so on). It's also used by DCMS but not Combine specific, so kinda like Wraith or Tarantula.
