Serves me right for not checking the actual production sites.
Cursed art sarna.net for listing it as a DCMS 'Mech.

Whitworth could be nice. Also the Quickdraw would be an interesting choice. Redesigned Shadow Hawk or Pheonix Hawk would be cool!

3050 era? Charger without a doubt. Or a ComStar donated Thug.

Of all the DC units, I love the 12K Thug the most. The variants of the Wolverine with twin SRM racks are pretty good, too.

But as for what would be most appropriate for me? Hmm. I'd probably be best suited for something like the Hitman - I have poor reaction time (Why I'm planning to play a scout 'mech and not a sharpshooting heavy), and avoiding combat is probably the best use for me. That, and a fear of heights means that I can't really use the jumpers that I love on the tabletop so much.

Shiro?
I think you'll have to wait another 100 years before you'll get to see that one.

To say nothing of the fact that it's a heavy with no weapons... well basically...

It has several weapons. Sword, 2 SRMs, and a Gause Rifle.

Sarna lists it with a Sword, 4 LRM-10 launchers and an LB-2X.
Which would work out to something like this:
 75t, 5/8/0, XLFE, ES; 10.0T/69% Armor; 10 DHS; 4 LRM10, 1 Swrd, 1 LB2

Its biggest problem are the AC and the huge engine.
Dropping the speed to 4/6/0 would free up 11 tons already.
LB-2X should be swapped for a (ER)PPC.
Really... a Hatamoto-Chi would do a better job.

Panther , Catapult...

The Gladiator could also be pretty fun. Good speed, jump jets, and a good mix of weapons. Also, the design is cool.

Yeah but then you wouldn't have the Katana, and there truely isn't anything more satisfying then using a Katana to chop an enemy down to size (regardless of the efficiency of the design). I love the Shiro because it has LCF, not because it is a good mech.

Funny then, how none of the Crockett/Katana variants mount a physical weapon, let alone a sword.

Wolfhound... light Centurion and thus it has really small chance of making it into the game at all.

Wolfhound is Lyran.

Ah well, I am sure you would love to pilot a Draconis Combine-built mech instead of having to pretend that anything but a 'proper' Lyran mech model will be an option for you ... quite understandably it is hard for you to admit that the DC builds the better (looking) mech and that tonnage isn't everything :)

Yeah, but even a chimp in a Hellstar can win.
While even the greatest veteran in the IS will have trouble winning in an OTT-7K (provided it has no backup).
