Hey all,

One of the Murphy's here (Not Fr. Murphy :)).

I played a ton of MPBT and moved to Mechwarrior 4.

Played with the Apache Division and later the 1st Regulan Lancers on MW4. I THINK I played for House Marik (Desert Rats) on MPBT, but I'm not 100% sure (so LONG ago).

Had an affinity for the Jenner in MPBT and any light mech with a Long Tom in MW4. So many good people played. I'm stoked about this.

Frmly, Lt. Murphy <AD>

P.S. Gotta give a shout out to my old CO, Wild Hog, he's back on page 5. :D

I was in that one, but never went far...where I lived at the time had a really, really laggy connection and it led to constant skipping/owning by scats.

Heheh. Does being a GEnie player of the original Mechwarrior Online count?

I can remember the Kesmai version fondly, since it was a direct port of the MW1 code- jump jet bug included.

That was a lovely bug....though the "RAMMING" Cicada was a blast to use as well.....

<VDB>

It's great to see so many players of the five houses, from all of the different eras of our game, back to see if this might be what we've been waiting for....

A special shout-out to those of us who also wore the ComStar uniform as game staff for AOL, Kesmai/Gamestorm, LineOne, and/or ISWars.

LineOne, wow, I haven't heard that name in a long time.. the loophole to by-pass the hourly charge at GameStorm before they went to a flat monthly rate.

HEHE. The British internet company was the only option we had back in the day when AOHell went from free beta to p4p...and right before Kesmai/News Corp/GameStorm went to flat rate.... Good memory.

Played a lot during the Solaris Beta, AOL, Gamestorm era. Only dabbled a bit in 3025 beta early on. Led a Merc Unit on Solaris called the Wolverine Corps with a bunch of great guys and was one of the funnest times in an online game for me. Looking forward to seeing what this game brings. Hopefully it will be entertaining.

Ha! You mean the IB site? That's Sparhawk's. Or you mean the mpbt info site? I haven't maintained that in a couple years, I suppose I should dig it out of the closet now when I can find time...

And, as you said...

...to absent friends. Balshone should be here.

Weee, hey Grond, yeah definitely a blast from the past alright. Man I lost touch with most everyone from that era, but I think I have some emails and/or people from back then on ICQ/YM, etc. I'll have to see if I can round a few people up and spread the word. Looking forward to getting back in some Mechs, haven't done so in a long time.

Hey all, CHeERiO here from <MAtRiX> *MARIK* from MPBT:Solaris AOL/Gamestorm.

There has been many games in the past that have claimed that they were the "next" Mech game. How hopeful are we that this game will actually exist?

Sniper gave me the link here and I linked to BLuDeVL so hopefully he can spread it around as well.

If this is legit, I'm really excited.

My history: 1996 is when we got our first computer and AOL. I was 12 when I took my first drop ship in a mech. Now I'm married, with a 15 month old and another one on the way! I was a Champion in Lights and Heavy on Solaris and stopped playing after a month into 3025 Beta.

I'll be watching this very closely, it's very exciting! It's very good to see a lot of people here that I remember, hopefully people remember me, lol.
