So far I hear a lot about the Mechs, but the MW universe has tanks, hovers, infantry, jump infantry, aero, vtols, lifters, etc.
What if any other types of units are going to be involved in the missions, even as a surprise event, or tactical variant to help out say Arty, mines, etc. Moving underwater and all of that.
As a long time player of the tabletop game and all of the computer versions, I really would like to know if any or all of this is going to be put into the game.
Although playing infantry would totally suck in a mechwarrior universe, being in a shrek ppc carrier doesn't seem that bad, or being able to call in an arty strike on an advancing group of Heavies or Assaults while they are moving thru a narrow defile or down a canyon would really ruin their day. Or strategically placing mines to leg an assault mech, etc.
Even if these were only bot troops available to commanders based on mods it would go a long way to getting the feel of the universe. Where it never really was always about the mechs. They are the gods of the battlefields, but the pawns sometimes could and did change everything.

Please read the FAQ as well as the "New Players Start Here" thread
Q. Will there be vehicular combat alongside Mechs for the players this time?
A. At the moment we are not following up with combined arms (tanks, hovercraft, jets etc.)
