I like the annihilator actually, its basically a mech-godzilla. Just remember that its an urban defense mech/terror weapon rather than a conventional combat mech. Of course, its limited roles means its not going to be that useful in game.

Aside from the fact they will have a lot of Urban enviroments as well as woodland, plains, snow, etc, etc... so a Urban defense mech is actually a good asset to have around. You wait, Paul will convince Bryan and Russ to start everyone off in a Urbie.

Some quads are true classics. I would love to see FD's redesigned Scorpion, Goliath or Tarantula.

TBH if they could code it, i think it would be damn interesting to have Quads... you do know during the succession wars Quad mechs had some good standing... Hell during 4thSW Liao had a few units that had nothing but Goliaths

Honestly, I never want to see lams in this game. I just dont think it would be a good mechanic to have flying glass cannons with no cannons.. ;)
that and the xbox Robotech game did not sell me on the mechanic anyway.

The one mech I don't want to see in game is the Hoplite. Weak loadout, poor movement, and it looks just the ******* child of a Marauder and a Locust.

Id rather have quads, than cicada, hoplite, charger, banshee, and shitloads of other mechs. QUADS FTW, sidestepping in urban enviroment! gimme

I do not think we need the Cicada. Someone mentioned they hate the Bushwacker, and I do not understand why that is - Bushwacker is a fine mech (but probably will not be introduced for a few years)

Balance is the most important thing. If certain mechs cannot meet the balance the devs want to achieve then they should be left out. An example of this might be super heavy mechs or rare, high-concept mechs that may have existed in canon but dont fit the normal range of mechs.

As far as old design appearances, MANY of the classic mechs dont belong in MWO without some major redesigning. The classic designs are an awkward mix coming from different anime franchises and virtually different genres. MWO has its own look, its own creative context and I love the direction its going. I bet Flying Debris and his team could make even the ugliest and most retro awkward mech look kickass.
