For those looking to join an established Merc unit
The Death Dealer Mercenaries would like to extend an recruitment offer. I think you would be a good fit, Our OCL( the core) is over 40, but we do accept younger players , & family members. I hope you will take the time to check us out.
Some information about our unit. We have been in active operation, under the same leadership, since August 2000.

We won first place in BattleZone league play for Mechwarrior 4 each of the first 13 months, including Planetary league play. We have participated in just about every league or ladder out there for Mechwarrior 4 at some point over the years. We have had hundreds of members pass through the unit in the last decade, and have faced thousands of other great warriors on the fields of battle. Through the long cold Winter since the release of the last official Mechwarrior title, we have maintained a core group of warriors. Our group of gamers became a family and we still get together every summer for a week of partying and gaming we affectionately refer to as DDMCON.

While we have branched out in to other games over the years, we remain a Mechwarrior mercenary unit through and through. We have had a clan, crew, org, guild or unit in most of the popular shooters and MMOS to come out in the last several years. If you see a group Death Dealers running around in any game you play, it's probably us. We have been wishing for and dreaming of a game that combined the brilliant universe and white-knuckle action of Mechwarrior with the stat-tracking of the Battlefield ames and the persistence and progression of an MMO for years. While we never gave up hope of another Mechwarrior title looming just over the horizon, I never really expected it to be so close to what we had all been hoping for.

Now, with it's impending release, we are ready to unpack our cooling-vests, dust of our neuro-helmets and mount up. 2012 will be the year of the "mech, and we'd like to invite any of you looking for something more than just a team to level with, but a brotherhood to become part of to head on over to our forums and join up. We've always got room for a few more good warriors to ride with us as we lay down the Heavy Mounted Vengeance of the Death Dealer Mercenaries.

Join us today at www.DeathDealerMercenaries.com
Even if you aren't currently looking for a unit to join, we welcome all to join our forums and become part of one of the oldest active online Mechwarrior communities still in existence.

Hails and Salutes. Good Luck and Good Hunting. We look forward to seeing you on the field, from one side or the other.
Respectfully

The notion of 'adult house' sounds intriguing.
However, I am bound by blood to clan Ghost Bear.

Well, I am 30, used to play BattleTech tabletop. Played every single mechwarrior game, loved Mechwarrior 2 Titanium Trilogy, miss it lots since my PC is "too good" to play the old CD Rom disks anymore. Mechwarrior 3 was a joke, Mechwarrior 4 kicked butt, good story line, nice amount of mechs, not to mention MEKTEK had some really kewl patches to give you a wide selection of mechs. My only complaint about Mechwarrior 4, I miss being in the Clans. Yeah merc stuff is kewl and all, but the Clans had a different feeling to it, not to mention, no innersphere tech, only clan, which was both good and bad. Anywhoo, counting the days before I can get back into the cockpit and kick some ***, really looking forward to using scout mechs, I used to use a stratagy back durring mechwarrior 4, when we played online. I would have 3 of my lancemates use the Longbow mech, meanwhile I would run around in a tricked-out couger or ravin, equipped with ECM and other scout tech, set up a few narc beacons on my chassis...then I would go hunting. Meanwhile the longbows are behind some hill, stationary. Once I found my prey, I would tag it, get the hell out of sight, then on Team Speak I would yell, "painted", all of the longbows would march up the hill, realease their LRM's, and it was overwith. >Posted Image

you sir, will enjoy MWO. Scouts actually get rewarded with pretty significant XP and C-bills for scouting skills like this. I'll keep an eye out for your Jenner on the battlefield.

Hello all,

I would love to join your group. I am 26 right now and have been irritated to death from the younger "trolls". It would be nice to have a group or clan that has a more positive mindset. I have played every Mechwarrior game since I was 13 years old. MW1,2,3.4 (as well as expansions) as well as mechcommander 1,2 and the short lived EA battletech 3025.

It's been said about the age, I guess it's just a matter of making sure you're in a lance or group of lances where you can trust the lot you're with. No good if you're minding your own business and and a pair Atlases walk up behind you because your scouts had gone off for a frolic. Especially with the Combine. Serving the daimyo is the best way to get your glory ;)
