Hmm... thats actually not a bad name. Im still on SL. I could at least take the time ot se if the name is still being used.

*EDIT* Eh... yeah its still being used. The SL group rebooted itself not too long ago. But i still like the name, maybe something simmilar will fit? How bout... Anthro Battlemech Company?

Hello, nice to see other furries, if some of you are looking for a merc company Message myself. If i like what i see (I.E. real furry non spam stuff.) I would be more then happry to recruit people. Our merc company leader has said furries are welcome. (not all are furries) and we might make a full lance/battalion for us if we get enough people.

Then there is a question if we want a full corp only with furs or join up with another corp and have our own lance/batallion inside it as a separate group. That all depends on the number of furs I'd say.

I'd still opt for Anthro Military Coalition for our own corp. We should ask the founders of the SL group for permission to use the name and logo and then we could combine our efforts together. Volounteers for diplomatic efforts?

I have to say, I'm a bit more partial to "Furry friendly" rather than "Full furry" Clans/Guilds/Groups or what have you. Group of good people, furry or not, is the most desirable thing.

That is very true, my friend but you also have to consider that in a mixed environment the furs are always the 2nd class citizens. I've seen that in plenty of MMOs all the time - WoW, EVE, WoT and others.
From my own experience as a good example - before I got myself on the position where I am in EVE (namely admiral - head FC for the entire alliance) I was treated like a freak. Nowdays the non-furs in our alliance stick themselves only to whispers behind my back about how much of a pervert I am.

See, I've never found that. But I do make sure I'm actually playing with kind, open people. That kind of behaviour wouldn't be tolerated in the groups I've been in. Some friendly teasing from either sides, sure, but never snide remarks, hostility or anything like that. Heck, I've had more trouble with pure furry groups than I have with mixed groups, sadly.

Then I guess you've been lucky. From my experience it's all the way to outright hostility so I'm a bit uncomfortable with mixed groups - which doesn't mean I won't give it a try. If we form large enough group inside another corp then the sheer numbers will be our protection

^ That is exactly why I joined up with a pony corp. Sounds ironic, but I enjoy playing with a group that can be serious while still having a good time. I don't want uber casuals, uber obsessives or hate/flamewars, etc.

On topic, you guys are really talented. Art is something that makes so sense to me, which makes me a bid sad. I love good furry art and I'm looking forward to seeing more Mech/Fur combos!

Ok well while that is still a pretty good idea, I do think its at least somewhat important that "Mech" be in there somewhere, otherwise we end up with the random people (probably from the SL group looking for there off-grid website) coming on and disrupting things with "Wut iz mekwarriorz? lolz!" and Id rather not have actual members deal with that all day. And a minor note being that the anagram would be AMC, and the real AMC theaters, well they kinda seem like the kind of guys to, um, sue. *sarcasm*

And that's why I'm looking at more of instead of a furry only place, more of a furry based place but all welcome. Kinda like what they do, but opposite. As long as we can keep them from feeling like the second class citizens then it would all work out.
