I am one. I know some furries that like Mechwarrior.

Hope no drama goes on here.... Oh wait, furries..... Yeah....

yep, to late for that haha :P

You know, I can't say comments like this would help much with that subject. On the other hand, one has to admit there is a problem...

THe hate stems from the darker side of Furries the ones who leave Used diapers (in the case of some babyfurs) In convention elevators and the ones who go out of their way to try to push it on other people then once someone says something go running and crying stating discrimination.

That coupled with the belief that Furries relates to a Inner like for ********** and the all and all lack of willing to learn just what a furry is (or what anything else is mind you Religion Politics you name it) all rolled up into a cesspool of Hate that furries all uniformly recieve.

People only see the bad Outspoken furries they dont see the quieter keep to themself furries. and those bad ones have set a bad light on the rest of us.

An example of this outside of furries would be wiccan a Religion Descended from Druids And Nature worshippers who still get burned at the stake for practicing "***** worship" by the more fanatic of christians which also shine a bad light on christianity.

Overall basically the hate is people saw the worst of furries and refuse to look at other outlets to see that the worst doesnt contribute to all like normal.

Bronies fall under the category of the Shoving it in others faces and force feeding it to them for the most Part from what I understand....

Bronies are kinda like Babyfurs/diaper furs they are furry but are more times than not considered the outcasts of the furry society.

Not really sure what the whole thing on it is but basically theres a few things certain bronies have done that Have shown a bad light on them same with Diaper furs and they are given the blanket youre not that accepted vibes.

I personally prefer to keep an open mind and stay away being considered a part of the drama though.

On Bonies: I think Bronies are a separate fandom. Sure, there're some similarities, maybe some more crossover than some other fandoms, but they are still separate. As for how I feel about Bronies, I have nothing against them, I just am not one.

Some Bronies are furries, but not all bronies are furries.

Though it's still an anthropomorphized equine

As for a 100% JUST furry merc corps, I have not seen many, but there are quite a few of us Furs, that are in merc corps, and make a good name for ourselves. Your best bet is to just wander about and find em. I myself, am a part of the Doom Riders, and we do quite well for ourselves, and we even have a few furs in the woodwork. There is NO animosity (pun not intended) towards anybody in the group, and we all just have a good time. If not act more childish than most >.>

Whats your reasoning behind that? Only 3 posts i have are answering 2 questions and replying to this so whats your basis that I dont have an open mind and am a part of the drama?

I never said I Believed the Blanket statement about Bronies nor did I state that Im one of the Problems. Most people who know me dont know Im a Fur and so I havent Had to deal with OMG you like sexing up animals lol.

Please Put a bit of basis behind you statement before just Saying you disagree

Also the rest of that post. You talk about trying to have an open mind and then lump bronies and furries together, but they're simply not the same thing. There's quite a bit of overlap, but I wouldn't even say half of bronies are furries, and I'll get to my observations here in a moment.

First, full disclosure, I'm both...but they're independent of each other. I found furry like thirteen years ago, but I watched the crap outta the original My Little Pony as a kid (I was born a year after the very first episode, so that's 29 years if you're counting), and when I started hearing about how awesome Friendship is Magic is I was like, "Hey, nostalgia," and not, "OMGanthropomorphizedponies!"

As for my observations, I work with the ELPMC, and I'm only one of maybe two or three furries in the unit (that I'm aware of)...that's not even 10% of the sample! I can't speak for the other pony-related units but I'd imagine that statistic bears out similarly, with the exception of any furry-brony hybrid units (surely there's at least one out there).

So, when I say you apparently don't prefer to keep an open mind you might see where I'm coming from. Generalizations are the hallmark of the closed-minded.

Can you explain to me how that is Not having an Open mind? Like I said I was stating what the current mindset of Most Furs are to Bronies which looking at this forum is Pretty close to the Truth.

I also stated that I do not agree with the Mindset of what People View Bronies as as Not all bronies are that In your face out there. I stated that as well.

:D still havent shown how Im close minded seeing as I Said I didnt agree. Also havent proven how Im Part of the drama.

Okay to explain this a bit

there is a reason I specified the fur in my post not because of the fact they are the same Ideally wise. I understand the barrier on Furries and bronies.

The reason they are both lumped together is this. Babyfurs are ostracized in the furry community as well. They are viewed at as Unsavorry and Unwanted members of the Community and if anyone Hears about someone being a Baby fur then the same thing that has happened here with the Bronies Happens to them.

Thats why they are lumped not because they are both furries and not because Im stating they are the same. Merely stating that when a fur sees someone under the Diaper fur category they are placed under just as much Bias and Dislike as any Brony out there.

...you were trying to say that bronies get a bad rep because of the loudmouthed ones who take it to the extreme?

Because, even re-reading the rest of that post over and over again, it still really sounds like you're saying that all bronies are furries, and that they're as bad as diaperfurs and babyfurs.

What Im saying is yes Bronies get the bad Rap from the loudmouths and extremes.

No im not saying they are furries.

I am Saying that Diaper/baby furs are alike to Bronies because they Have the Bad rap from the more extreme (see my furry hate post for the reference to the used diapers left in Elevators at conventions) and in your face diaperfurs.

Actually Im kinda curious what the bronies viewpoint on their Diapered subsection of their group is. Just out of the curiosity of are they treated badly too.
